Then again, they had a huge sales promotion in Japan with really dirt-cheap fares. Someone on AKS/FamiGeki's been checking out those fares for their next overseas SPs, eh...

On second thought, looks like we found Jetstar Japan's next potential ambassadors for their future campaigns once they launch. Good opportunity for Jetstar, too, seeing how often (read: not very, but still quite often for a J-Pop supergroup of this calibre) they actually visit Australia, especially north QLD/NT. Who knows - maybe you'll see Yuko or Takamina doing this on a Japanese TV channel near you... Alan Joyce could use some AKB48 right about now, too, seeing that they're in everything lately, but I digress...

I ask her: are there not enough "macho men" (i.e. your average young Aussie bloke) in Japan?

 

i remember when they did 2 specials back then, 2009 - Nonti was the leader and 2010 - Sayaka was the leader.

First time was in cairns and 2nd time was in Darwin. Does anyone knows that this 3rd SP is also in Cairns or elsewhere ?

I enjoyed this SP, especially the last part where they cut the blue topaz for takamina and presented it to her. A well respected senpai among the kouhais. The letter read by Shimada was particularly, heartfelt.

 

Yeah it's Cairns (and surrounding areas). I recognise the city-scape and esplanade since I last went.

Although it's a bit strange seeing Takamina with shots of Holdens, QLD number plates, the Telstra phone box and Woolies in the background...

ah I just watched the special and I thought it was epic!

- I just love the way how (most of) the locals are look totally bewildered when
they see those little japanse girls running around town. They have no clue what is going on
- AKB and the english language is always entertaining. They all know how to say thank you and that's about it haha
- Takamina is so cool with the team 4 girls, she really cares for them. Takamina + 10000

I'm really starting to like team 4. I missed out on watching the 'older girls' grow and develop and this whole new team gives me a second chance to follow that whole proces.

Reinyan's dog is pretty cool actually, as far as though daft smaller dogs go.......

Miichan's dog though! bit like it's owner really, a bit hyper and like aa good hug!

 

I like Nacchan's dog best. It just looks like a .... dog.

I was rooting for Nacchan's dog to win. Its too bad. I like Minegishi's dog too. The way he always got on Minegishi's shoulder is so cute. I wish they are able to gather all the pets in 48 family. I think Kojiharu's dogs will fail. Plus Acchan's family of pets.. Ishida Anna's cats... etc. I hope they will do something like this again.

Regarding the latest Australia SP, I honestly couldn't catch at all what the New York tourists are saying to Takamina. I was like "Are they speaking English or one of the European languages?" Granted English is not my first language and I never have an actual real life conversation with English speaking people... But I am able to understand all the English in the show except those New Yorkers!

Is it just me or has Paruru just discovered a whole new level of cuteness ?
Just love the way she talks, her voice is never too loud or too high, could listen to her all day long.

You know it was after that second episode that I realized that I had pretty much sat through what was basically two episodes about mushroom picking because Paruru was in it!

 

I guess, not many people can appreciate the wild mushrooms. [shock]

It's a delicacies and quite expensive (judging by the price they shown in the previous #3 episode).

No problem.

Well, hopefully, the next episode will pick up a bit.
