I was just wondering if anybody has heard of, or more importantly, like alan?
She’s one of my fave artists in the moment and she has been since I discovered her music around her 2nd single. She mostly sing slow songs, but her voice is great and her ballads are amazing. I can listen to her songs over and over again.
So if you like pretty ballads, i recommend alan.

Maan...when I saw this new thread, alan, I thought it was male singer!!!
Turned out that it's a pretty female singer...LOL. I don't know her but I think it's worth trying. Any download links maybe? ;)

^lol yeah I was pretty sure that some would think it was a male, but couldn't come up with anything creative to add to the title, to show she was a female.

    Downloads...
Well I'll upload my fave songs then.
alan - Ashita e no Sanka
    alan - Hitotsu
    alan - Natsukashii Mirari ~Longing Future~
alan - Sakura Modern (probably my fave alan song)
    alan - Seed of Green
    alan - Sora Uta
alan - Xin Zhan ~Red Cliff~ (the Chinese version, since the Japanese version isn't released yet.)

Your opinion about it then? :)

I'm a very very big alan fan. I've been following her since her debut and I actually got to see her live and meet her when I was in Japan in June. I'll post my review of the day on here if I find it again.

    ^yay another fan :)
You're very lucky you got to see her live.
Didn't seem to be that much promotion going on about her when I was in Japan, unfortunately. Would have loved to see one of those small lives she's been doing.
    alan is amazing :)

I was with kaito when we saw her live. I was never huge on alan, I just liked Ashita, but she really did blow me away live, and my fandom for her has been on a steady rise since. Especially with RED CLIFF being so fucking EPIC.

Your avatar is just gorgeous by the way, milaya. I didn't like the song, but that cover was just, out of this world.

    ^Glad you liked them :D

I'm glad she impressed you that much :) and yes Red Cliff is amazing, I keep listening to it. <3

    Thank you :D
And yes I agree about Kaze no Tegami, it's my least fave alan song, but the cover is so amazing. One of the most beautiful covers ever. In general alan has amazing single covers.
But the previews I heard from the B-side Kagome, seems to make up for the more boring A-side.

Her last "element" single, which is water,
    has a release date now:
    2008.11.12.
    Still untitled for now.
    ------------------------

    Can't wait.
The covers are probably going to be amazing like all of her covers. (actually my reason for trying out Hitotsu when it was released, I found the cover really interesting)
I also hope we get a release date for her album, soon.

Kaze no Tegami debuted at 25! Pretty good as it got zero promotion.

^yeah 25 is okay, also considering that Kaze no Tegami is not that great a song. I prefer the B-side (Kagome)

    ^
^I pre-ordered the CD+DVD version, I wonder what the "bonus movie" is.
I also can't wait to see what the "first press" poster looks like <3.

Yeah, TBH I haven't liked the past few singles. I'm SO excited for RED CLIFF though, and I've also pre-ordered CD+DVD. I need to find a spot to put the poster too, but she'll go somewhere!

My alan collection was completed today :omg:
(then I remembered she has also released a chinese cover album, and my collection is now still incomplete)
    [IMG][IMG]
Yeah my longing future single has a crack, which was already there when I recieved it.

    I <3 alan.
    I'll keep supporting her.

Now I just need to get her Red Cliff poster up on my wall somewhere.

I've tried some alan's songs and those are really great! I love RED CLIFF, Ashita e no sanka, Natsukashii mirai, and a few more which I don't remember the titles. Her voice is really sweet.

^I'm glad you like her. <3
I think alan is probably the kind of artist that you either like, or you don't, because she doesn't do "normal" J-pop.
And those three you mentioned are actually my fave songs from her - and then "Sakura Modern" but that's not a single.

When she'll be getting a debut album? I think she doesn't have any and she already has many singles..
