August 11, 2014 Info - Name: Aramaki Misaki. Born January 28, 2001 in Fukuoka. Nickname: Mirun Accepted into HKT48 through 3rd generation auditions. Made first stage appearance during Himawari-gumi "Pajama Drive" show in November 2013, and made performance debut during Kenkyusei "Nounai Paradise" show in December 2013. --First, we ask the same question for everyone. What is your oldest memory? Aramaki: I remember going out with my family when I was three years old, and being held in my mother's arms. And then somehow I lost my shoes. --Do you remember where you went? A: I don't remember, but I remember I lost my shoes. --What kind of child were you? A: I got embarrassed easily, and was very shy. I disliked being photographed. --What kind of games did you often play with your friends? A: It wasn't really friends.. I played with my older brothers a lot. --How did you play? A: We would build a tent in the yard, and played the "sleep-over" game --That sounds like a fun game. A: When it got dark, I would say to my parents, "I'm sleeping in here!" My father would tell me, "Come and sleep properly inside the house!" --Did you learn any extracurricular skills? A: I learned ballet for 10 years starting at three years old. I think that's the activity that I've done the longest. --How about other things? Did you decide not to continue? A: I learned tea-etiquette (茶道) and calligraphy, but I gave up on them very quickly. --Did you try those things out of your own desire? A: Yes. But even though I was the one who asked for them, I got tired of them quickly. The only thing that stayed with me is ballet. --Perhaps you like to do something that moves your body? A: I was also very close friends with another girl who did ballet. We liked to perform at showcases -- they felt like a regular part of our lives. --Did you perform in a lot of showcases? What got you interested in idols? A: I don't remember how old i was, but I started to like Mini-moni (from Morning Musume). --Wow, so many girls were fans of Mini-moni! Which ones of their songs do you like? A: I liked "Mini-moni, Janken Pyon!" and I even danced when I watched the DVD. --That song was released right around the time you were born, so you must have listened to it much later. Which other idols did you like? A: When I got a bit older, I liked SNSD (Girls Generation) --Ah! You went in that direction. What got you into them? A: My grandmother watched a lot of Korean dramas, and when I watched that drama, I liked the actress, who is a member of Girls Generation. I started listening to them after that. --I see. When did you learn about AKB48? A: I think the first time I noticed was when Oshima Yuko-san won 1st place in the sosenkyo. --Ah, I guess that must be two years ago, when she won 1st place for the second time. Did you go to any of the concerts or hand-shake events around that time? A: No, I didn't. --How did you come to audition for HKT48? A: My mother told me about the 2nd generation audition.. but I failed that one. But I didn't really feel regretful about it. A: I had a belly ache until right before the dance auditions. --That's a common symptom of stress. How did you get over it? A: I wrote the character for "person" (人) in my palm. --Ah, Kurihara Sae-chan said the same thing! Many of you were probably doing it. A: Ah, that's right. Even now, before a theater show, I do it often. (laugh) --Does the technique still work for you? A: I mean, it cured my belly ache during the audition! --That sure was effective. A: Even though my belly was cured, I was still nervous (laugh). Because my name, Aramaki, begins with "A," I was always one of the first in the audition. --My name also begins with "A," so I understand exactly what you mean! (laugh). That's something people in the "A" column often face. What did you sing for the voice auditions? A: I sang Shimazaki Haruka-san's center song "Eien Pressure" --Oh. Do you think you did a good job? A: I thought I did a better job than the previous audition. --What did the judges say to you? A: They asked me, "Why did you pick this song?" --And why is that? How did you feel when they announced that you passed the audition? A: I was so surprised I thought I was dreaming. You know how in anime, there usually is some that says, "Is this a dream!?" I really felt similarly. --Did you pinch your cheek? A: No, at least I didn't do that. (chuckle) --Soon afterwards, some of the 3rd generation members made their stage debut. You were not among the first group of back dancers… A: That was my first moment of regret after joining HKT48. --That being said, how was your first time performing on stage? A: I was a surprised at how close we stood to the audience. Since I could see everyone's faces very clearly, I knew they could also see mine clearly, and I got a bit nervous. --What did you talk about in that first stage? A: I talked about my dream. --Your dream? A: I said that I wanted to become a famous actress like Audrey Hepburn. --That's certainly a big dream. Have you seen many films by her? During a KIV stage performance MC, Mirun explained how she derived her nickname She loves macarons, and wanted her nickname to rhyme with it. The "Mi" in her nickname came from her "Misaki", and the "run" was to make it rhyme with macaron. Can't believe that she would use this reason to come up with her nickname XD
