so, her name is miki, written with the kanji for "mirai". hooo..interesting.

 

I think the locker room is her home, the person that picked her up is the that person who she is with is that person in charge, mabe that person does not have a home himself and live in the locker room.

the photo was taken by that person in charge of the lockers, so that Haruna know what she looks like when she was a baby, or may be when one day her real parents shows up, there is proof of what she wll look like.

To answer haruna_hamasaki Question: On the website for the show mentions she is a runaway (not 100%sure of the translation). It is fairly common even today teenagers that are runaways to live in the downtown areas like Tokyo's Shibuya district (NOTE the music video” Seifuku ga Jama wo Suru” takes place in Shibuya.

She made some kind of deal with the locker/station attendant she does his job for him in exchange for living in the storeroom/office. It stared out when he said something to the words “I am sick and need to go to the men’s restroom can you watch the office for me” in the first episode.

The reason for so much unknown information is to get you to watch the next episode in the series. It’s just like anime they want to keep you tuned in and watching to sell more advertising.

 

I am not sure but I think she (Haruna's character) has an abandonment issue. She criticized the mother of the two children for playing Pachinko ball games and not spending more time with her children.

I am going out on an extreme theory here. I think I know what the final plot of this story is. The character that Haruna plays is in reality a Guardian Angel; in form of a schoolgirl, sent to protect the unborn child of the pregnant teenage schoolgirl, the one wearing the sailor seifuku outfit. She has been waiting for her opportunity, which is to come soon. No, I have not read the manga.

There is a problem of child neglect and abandonment in Japan. Yes, there are many cases of children being abandon in coin-operated locker. This short film might be trying to make a moral point.

This would explain her actions in the first three episodes.

There is even a novel and movie base on a similar story called “Coin Locker Babies”.

I found out which train station that this is suppose to take place at. It is Shinjuku Station, located in Shinjuku and Shibuya wards in Tokyo, Japan. The name is the opening video shot (新宿駅 Shinjuku-eki?). This is the second busiest train station in the world in terms of number of passengers. I took me a while I had only the picture to go by.
