Omg, I really want this, but not sure I can justify dropping £250 on it...

 

Did they actually confirm that, or say something to that effect? I'm still hoping that Amazon Japan is just lagging or something...

 

I really need a new HDD i'll check it out first through torrent download before I decide if my collection really needs something this expensive. [think]

 

yeah I'm getting the team 4 set. I don't think I bother too much about the others but I have to support my team. At least they have their own box set .

Question will team sets have the same price? Cause Team 4 only has 2 performances in their set compared to 5 or so for the other teams?

 

According to that webpage they are all the same price.

But this looks like a must buy for me regardless of the performances/$$ ratio

 

Just had another look at the site and for the team ones, it looks to me as if it is just 1 performance.

The Team A and B both say Hyogo　兵庫公演
Team K - Shiga　滋賀公演
Team 4 - Tottori 鳥取公演

 

From what I've read on other forums/websites about the actual event and looking at the DVD release, the company cut out some performances so it's not actually the Entire concert series.

IMHO... I think that's fine or else the DVD collection would be too big (which isn't bad!) but the price would've been TOO expensive for most people.

 

Decided to order the big box, first time using a deputy service, so hopefully it goes ok

 

Probably getting Team 4's DVD. Sucks that neither Takeuchi Senpai nor Viva Hurricane! were performed though.

That's the only cure I know for that.

 

I'm not 100% sure on that mainly due to the following reasons:
it shows all 15 dates which were part of the tour
2,381 mins for the whole set which is over 2 hours per disc even inc. the bonus disc.

So you must get almost everything if is in fact not everything. The T4 from Kagoshima I have which aired on ファミリー is just under 2 hours in length. Pretty sure that was cut in a few places for TV. It probably says somewhere on the site that it's cut, but my japanese isn't good enough to read it LOL

I don't really mind if it is cut a bit or not, just looking forward to almost 40 hours of AKB

edit: I think I worked it out, if I recall, some days had multiple shows, but the DVDs are just 1 show per day.

I hope thats not 40 straight hours of AKB. One hell of a marathon.

The thing with this boxset and the subsets is that from what I recall, there was little or no variation in setlists between shows from the same team. So you're essentially getting the same performance over and over again. Especially when one show from each Team was already shown on TV...

 

Yep, that was it... I looked back and according to some old threads about that concert at the time, there was an afternoon show then an evening show on certain days.

It would've been a repeat performance so I guess management may not want to include it and to keep the costs of the bundle set down for the average fan.

One concert was released from the event on each team as it was available for download on Youtube, Youku and H!O, though I don't if it's active or been pulled by now.

 

Don't worry, I already have these It looks like they were on that ファミリー channel from Japan, I think it's some pay-per view or subscription channel.

 

Ugh okay I decided to get that team 4 set anyway regardless of the content. Too bad the team sets aren't up for preorder.
