On the results announcement day, the lawyer will hold a final confirmation, insert a sheet with each position inside separated envelopes, and stamp them. After that they will be opened in the venue in front of everyone.

I am Iwasa Misaki also known as Wasamin, belonging to Team A, 16 years old.
So eventually the third elections are coming around, I couldn't enter the top 40 in either the first nor the second elections.
Since last year's second elections to this year's third elections, I have kept thinking I should change something about myself. I was added to Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 and I could experience a lot of things, and then... I always kept worrying I had no distinctive trait, but lately I have begun finding my distinctive trait in enka, so I think that maybe I am improving, although just a little.
So, elections are now at their third year, so this year I think third time's the charm and I won't let the same results happen!

OTA AIKA

Please let me introduce again, I am Ota Aika from Team A, 16 years old. How do you do.
During last time's senbatsu elections, I was 21st, the centre of Undergirls, just a step away from being senbatsu. To be honest, at that time I felt frustrated, but when I got back to the dressing room I thought "Rather than being at the edge of senbatsu without getting any screentime, maybe I'm better off as Undergirls centre in whose music video I'll get a lot of screen time" and many people convinced me, so I came to terms with it. But on this year's senbatsu elections, how to say it... my aim is to rank within the top 12, media senbatsu, but I think it will be a tough hurdle to clear. Please lend me your strength.

The kanji from my name, MA-RI-KO, were given to me by my parents thinking that "Mari" would come across abroad, too.

First off, I would like to introduce myself. I was born on February 10th 1992, I am 19, Aquarius, blood type 0. Next year I will become of age. So, I am an adult.
So, having said that, today I want to challenge the elections with this outfit. Yes, so, as to why I chose this outfit, er... the story would be to long. These PJs are very lucky. For example, to say just one out of the hundred legends it carries, on last year’s janken tournament I managed to rank fourth!

Hello! I want to become a girl that’s as sweet as fluffy candy floss. I am Nakata Chisato, also known as Chiichan, from Team A.
It’s sudden, but I am quitting being a candy floss girl. The reason is that so far I haven’t ranked in any election, and that on last year’s janken tournament I couldn’t win at janken despite being a seed and I couldn’t enter senbatsu. I have been very frustrated.
I think that maybe if you’re all soft and fluffy you can’t win in AKB, so from now on, while keeping a cuteness that allows me to wear this kind of uniforms, since I’ve turn twenty I would like to become someone who can show a more mature side too.

This time has eventually come: the third elections.
On the previous elections and those before that, thanks to your support I managed to enter Undergirls just for a tiny straw. Thank you very much. This time there are more candidates than the previous time, so I think that maybe my position in Undergirls is at risk. Prime Minister? What are “senbatsu elections”?
you will need a little background to understand this XD. There's this amazing, honest, tough politician called Renho, and she's very popular because it's the kind of person who doesn't concede and goes straight to the point, unlike most of her colleagues. Once, the Japan Prime Minister was keen on giving an insane amount of funds to the research to build a supercomputer that would be number one in the world. Because, you know, Japan needs to be number one. During the Parliament audience of the committee head, Renho asked him “What’s wrong with being number two?” (implying “why should we taxpayers pay for your grandeur mania?”) and she caused a big stir. Sayaka is doing a Renho impersonation throughout the video, including her trademark white jacket.

ITANO TOMOMI

I am Itano Tomomi from AKB48, Team K.
AKB48’s senbatsu elections have become a tradition for three years. This is the third time, so I want to do my best this year, too. And then, this will be the 22nd single, and I wanted to be in all the singles senbatsu from the first one to the 22nd, but at last year’s janken tournament, since I’m too weak at janken, I lost at the first round. For this 22nd single I definitely want to be in senbatsu.
Today I am in a fighting mode and it doesn’t show at all but I came wearing my favourite long dress that has a lot of pictures on it.
I will do my best this year, too. So, to everyone in Japan, Dear J!

UCHIDA MAYUMI

Hello, I’m Uchida Mayumi!
On last year’s janken tournament I managed to be the winner, and I sang the 19th single “Chance no junban” in the centre position. But when I read the news the day after the janken tournament there was written “An unknown 16-year-old girl who’s never ranked in senbatsu elections takes centre”. When I read that of course I was happy, but somehow it felt really frustrating too. So, if I could be in senbatsu this time, I will be able to say loud and proud that I was in senbatsu for my abilities, not only for my luck.
Lastly, let me do a judo encouraging cheer! It’s motivation, motivation, motivation~ I’ll do my best! Osu! Please take care of me.

I am Umeda Ayaka from AKB48, Team K.

Hello, I’m Oshima Yuko!
Why am I wearing this uniform today? It’s because AKB = uniforms, and uniforms = limited time. We should never forget how we felt when we started out. This is important, isn’t it? But you have to look good in uniforms! As long as you’re in AKB this is a rather important thing.
“Lately, Oshima is getting a little too old for uniforms…” YOU WHO SAID IT! I heard you. I still think I look good in a uniform. So please, as long as I still look good in uniforms let me be in senbatsu!
And then, in last year’s election, you gave me a present and made me number one. I don’t know what will happen this year, but as an occasion that lets me really understand and appreciate how much you support me, I anticipate the final day. So please support me!

KIKUCHI AYAKA

I am Kikuchi Ayaka also known as Ayarin. Smile rin rin rin! I am nervous, so I’ll drink some water.
First, please let me introduce myself. I was born in the 5th Heisei year , June 30th. I am a Cancer, and my blood type is A. My favourite food is natto. Until a while ago it was oden! Yay! Kinchaku filled with mochi!
On last year’s elections I splendidly, er… didn’t rank, and I have been frustrated. But this year I definitely want to make it to senbatsu, even at the last spots, so I’ll do my best. Please, by all means support me! Watch this again~ bye bye!

I am Tanabe Miku from Team K.
This year, the turn of chance came to Tanabu! I was 12th in the Janken senbatsu. I was in senbatsu as I’ve always dreamed, there were many happy things, and the people looking at me increased much more than before. I felt the joy of standing on a big stage.
But on the other hand I realized the road is more steep than I had thought, and when I felt vexed and depressed the fans encouraged me saying “Tanabu should just be true to Tanabu”. It became a source of motivation for me. But this year, Tanabu is still eager. I want to greedily believe in my possibilities and jump up. My dream is to become an eternal centre heroine. Maybe these elections too are, in a good meaning, a new enemy I have to defeat! Please, give your strength to Tanabe Miku!

Hello! I am Nakatsuka Tomomi from Team K.
I was one of the janken tournament winners and I could enter senbatsu as I’ve always dreamed! It was all new things to me, and we appeared on music shows or on magazines, it was only things that were a plus for me. When I appeared on music shows I once again realized how fun it is to be on stage. So I want to be in senbatsu once again! I want to make you all smile! This time it’s a challenge to myself. im really hopping for yuko to get it again. its not as farfetched as one would think, yuko got REALLY popular last year. i think its going to be either a close battle or yuko getting it without problems.

Yeah, I was going to make my list.
I put Acchan first, and then the rest of the Top 10 stayed remotely the same with Yukirin going up a spot. Then I realized how pointless it was because there won't be that many changes, so I stopped.

BUT STILL EXCITED >_>

I hope they do Theater Girls. Otherwise, unless my favorites have gained tens of thousands of fans in the past year each, this doesn't affect me again.

That's not to say I won't complain when the results come out.

This is gonna be my first participation in Senbatsu election. Ahhhh, excited [party]

I'm so gonna vote for Mayuyu since seeing her cry in the last senbatsu, disappointed that she fell a place, made me really wanna make her wish come true [worried] . Although I think she will probably stay at the same place since it's gonna be, like, almost impossible to beat Tomochin and Mariko. Not that I don't believe in Mayuyu but I think their fanbase is wider than Mayuyu's, that's all.

Now, should I put 2 votes for Mayuyu (I can probably afford 2 copies max) or use the second vote for someone else (not yet determined)? hmmmm [think]

ohh great it's happening again , Now i'm gonna have to pay extra to make sure my copy gets here before to voting session ends. Ahh well my predictions (some i'm happy for and some i'm not):

1-4. Can go to anyone of last years top 4 , but no position is guaranteed.

Members I think will be new addtions this year: Uchida Mayumi, Yokoyama Yui, Matsui Sakiko, Ichikawa Miori, Mori Anna, Kuwabara Mizuki or Nakanishi Yuka, Hata Sawako, Oya Shizuka. Hmm.... will NMB be participating this year?

Members i think will rise a rank: Minegishi Minami, Sashihara Rino, Matsui Jurina, Takayanagi Akane.

Members that i think will drop a rank: Watanabe Mayu, Takahashi Minami, Kojima Haruna, Matsui Rena, Takajo Aki, Kitahara Rie, Yonezawa Rumi, Oya Masana, Sato Sumire.

Other then that i'm not too sure about the other members.

yuko getting #1 last year was such a great surprise.

honestly, just like everyone, I think there won't be that many changes, but we have been surprised, and just recently at that, so who knooooows.

my dilemma:

taka: oshi. I want her to go up at least one spot.
erika: other oshi. love her and she deserves it. but then again I'm not that into SKE in AKB singles (SKE ELECTION WOULD BE SO AWESOME, MAKE IT HAPPEN PLZ)
annin: gotta suppport my beloved kks bias ;___;
kana: she makes it to undergirls and I cry tears of happiness.

but I probably can't afford 4 copies

OH ALSO akicha in media senbatsu plz kthxbai

edit: you think they'll surprise us and not include SKE in the elections?

I would be really surprised if SKE isn't included.
But yeah, I agree that SKE should have their own election.
