the group have 22 girls but one is on hiatus because of poor health

Any rumor as to what song they'll debut with?

Hi, could you guys forgive me if I looked rude here on the forum? I said I would never comment anything on this thread, but I can not wait for AKB48 China.

I promise I will not mess this thread anymore.

I really want them to debut with "Seishun no lap time", a good song to debut!

 

It’s a really good song and there’s no Chinese version yet so that’s a good idea.
But I’m pretty sure they’re gonna start with a well known AKB a-side, hopefully not one of the overdone ones like Hebirote or KFC.

 

Rumors say they will debut with an original song, but I doubt it.

Instead of the usual modified version of AKB48.

 

I doubt it too but that would be really cool and dare I say necessary? If they want to compete with SNH (the biggest idol group in China right now) and the other upcoming groups I think they need to be seen as competition and not just a glorified cover group who covers Japanese songs.
I have trust in this group, they seem to be such a great bunch of girls.

 

Tbh I think original songs would make more sense too. SNH48 has evolved to their own unique style and is has Chinese elements. So another girl group that is what SNH48 used to be, which is a Chinese cover group, would be hard to put them as competition.

Also there is AKB48 Team TP. While Team TP is made for Taiwan, I wouldn’t put it past China to have some interest in them too. And 2 Chinese speaking groups singing the same songs (even if with different lyrics) would be a bit bizarre.

Not to mention SNH48 still owns the rights to their older songs.

Then there’s the fact that this is just Team SH. There will be a Team BJ & Team GZ at some point, alongside others. Including Super AKB48 China.

 

I think we might have a Chinese version of ske48 or nmb48

 

I do want to believe we're getting original stuff for this one (and Team TP).
They really can't fight SNH with yet another cover of famous AKB songs, so they need to bring good stuff.

Having them labelled as another team in AKB, I really wouldn't be surprised if they got original songs just like A, K, B and 4 (and 8...) get original songs.
Or, on the other hand, have them release official covers of AKB's newest singles and the like (didn't JKT do that with some single as well?).

So here's hoping they do it right!

 

Chinese versions of Japanese sister groups would be refreshing too
