Hey, remember how AKB was supposed to get an original stage for having the most members rank in the election? What do you think are the odds of that actually happening? I'd say maybe 1 in 20.

Remember when they also asked the fans to not throw away their voting ballots because there was going to be a special event with the Undergirls?

Wanting to do some math. How many all 48G active members are out there right now? Because I want to use that number to divide Taylor Swift's $170 million.

Oricon's yearly book rankings for 2016 are out!

Between 46G (slightly greyed) and 48G, the photobook list is dominated. This is actually unusual (and it's the first time since 2009 a female solo photobook took the top) but tbh I think it's less thanks to good sales by 46/48G more thanks to Johnny's not being busy this year. Only two other books made it to the top 10 so I kept them and just greyed them more.

    1. 87,209 | Nishino Nanase - Kaze wo Kigaete
    2. 84,727 | Hirose Suzu - 17-sai no Suzubon
    3. 79,365 | Ikuta Erika - Tenchou
    4. 76,525 | Nogizaka46 - 1-jikan okure no I love you

    5. 64,199 | AKB48 - AKB48 Sousenkyo! Mizugi Surprise 2016
    6. 55,696 | Sashihara Rino - Scandal Chuudoku
    7. 51,264 | Watanabe Mayu - Shiranai uchi ni
    8. 50,635 | Takanori Iwata - Azzurro Special Limited Edition
    9. 45,592 | Fukagawa Mai - Zutto, Soba ni Itai
    10. 40,457 | Yamamoto Sayaka - Minna no Yamamoto Sayaka

As for the overall Talent Book ranking
Takahashi Minami's "Leader Theory" got 3rd with 98,489. Nogizaka's biography followed with 93,935 and Nishino Nanase's photobook from above took 7th.

^ Nakajima Miyuki is always so strong. Ito (糸) was released in 1998, and Wakare-uta (わかれうた) in 1977... Speaking about Karaoke, I like her Doyounami. And as for Zen Zen Zense, it is No. 1 on the smartphone ranking, so it should have support of younger gens who are familiar with cells. Then, congrats to Nishino Kana! I'm recognising her as Zuumin's infatuation.

Wakare Uta is one of the best songs ever released though. It will still chart in 2077. [hehe]

I could care less about what the poll is about but the fact that the 48/46G dominated 7/10 of the ranks (for female) is really something xD

it's one of those countless random rankings. you'll see plenty of them by the end of the year.
this time it's a "Celebrity I want to have a goukon party with" for 2016, idol edition.
you can find other tops for actors/actresses, singers, comedians, sportsmen, announcers, and talento on a site that created this poll. looks like that picture is outdated (or modified?), because there is no Nogi in the top and Sasshi is 3rd not 4th.

I think the best way is to go straight to the source, japanese Matome. Those are some kind of newsite. http://akb48taimuzu.livedoor.biz/

The one i use is AKB times. If you use chrome for internet, there's the plug in Rikaikun, very effective to read japanese on website. You just have to stay close to a word and it translate instantly. But you need the basic in japanese grammer.

There are also video in there which you'll need a Japan proxy to view it. The article itself sums up the important parts from the video. In a nutshell, I believe it is about the voting will be closer to 1 vote/person compared to SSK, etc.
There is an interview with Miyazawa Sae, thus if you're a fan of Sae, you should probably see the video.

    direct link

Edit: also no news about the voting? The app should be the same app like for last year kouhaku, right?
    Also oshi, not fan :^^;:
