Among the Japanese48, HKT is the second group with least amount graduations this year: 3 graduated (Chiichan, Raira, Okapan) and 1 was dismissed (Risa)
NGT had 0.

 

Make it 4 now. Wakachan just announced her graduation.

This weeks Odekake was cool. The older members that generally don't get a lot of air time had drinks with Sasshi and Gotosan. Yamada Marina looked hot.

Where did they find the HKT 4th generation girls? They are so polished. Goes back to what Elementaljyt about all the idols groups from fukoka.

 

I know, right? That's what so many fans have been saying on Twitter. The most popular belief is that Universal Records took the initiative to find and select girls instead of AKS. If you look at the latest AKB gen in comparison, they look like middle school girls from the countryside in comparison to the 4th gen.

 

Crazy thing is that with the inclusion of 4th gen, 3rd gen got even better and more proactive. People who have one foot out the door in the HKT fandom got drag back in because of these ten girls. If anyone has a chances take a look at the TII+4th KSS shounichi stage, it is just really a great stage to watch and Aki's solo during Innocence can probably steal your soul.

 

One of the big focuses for the audition were girls who could already sing and had some experience being in front of an audience. Some of them were already in street idol groups, some were on talent shows, and some are just naturals.

Props to Sasshi and the team for spotting out ODA over a year ago. She has definitely moved up to my favorite 4th gen, having a great stage presence and being a complete weirdo.

Go back and watch a first gen Te Wo and the shonichi of the TII/4th Gen Te Wo and it is like night and day. I love first gen, but they definitely came in super raw compared to the girls now.

congrats HKT with the best result out of all groups!

HKT 11 members out of 53 = 20.75%
NMB 11 members out of 58 = 18.96%
AKB 17 members out of 128 = 13.2%
NGT 3 members out of 25 = 12%
SKE 6 members out of 78 = 7.6%

 

So the "staple" senbatsu members not getting enough votes were Jiina and Lovetan. Still an outstanding result for HKT.
