Shimazaki Haruka (Paruru) / 9th Generation

Look at it this way, to this day and until otherwise, she was the last successful push/presence from within the mothership (beyond 1st-3rd gen) that actually worked out. None from within has yet to reach it ranking/exposure/notoriety-wise since her run. What made her run a miracle was that no one expected it to pan out because of how the girl was and no one knew how well it would actually pan out..

I found a video of her theater graduation but the camera angle is wack! As much as I like Paruru, I find it silly to have the camera only focused at her even in group songs. I heard there was another angle where it caught the entire performance/stage but I haven't found it yet.

Maybe because AKB management's push are half-assed? I can't say if this assertion is true but if management really wanted to push any girl seriously, they'd make her center more singles and such.

 

It's a combination of it. They pushed her, she managed to stay and be a presence to the public. The ironic thing is, she never actively wanted to take Zero Position, which helped stave off over saturation yet still be a viable option as an Ace.

Pretty sure she also did Douki with Gen9? She even got Shinobu to make outfits for them.

 

She did, she always found a way to get around from singing it solo every time it got voted at Request Hour.

 

I did read this one article where she said that she never once was happy to get center..or something like that. What if she actually cared and exerted more effort? I don't really care about them rankings but lots of what if there.

Yeah..I can't seem to find the site again for the life of me..but I did grab it to my hdd. I'll upload to gdrive and share link tomorrow at work. When paruru is performing, camera is on her the whole time. Like I said, it's wack watching a group song where the other members are singing and paruru isn't and she's just standing there looking left then right and all u seebis her pretty face.

 

I've watched the regular version so many times. I would love to watch the version centered on her and her pretty face . I knew there was a version out there but have never been able to find it.

^ Yes, it's for the Fan Club. I think it's part of a recruitment drive; she wants more members. I also think there be more new stuff for Fan Club members when she's finished working on Hiyokko middle of August. (Which likely means she'll appear in September).

Yes it's the same person who found the nicknames "Mayuyu" & "Paruru". By the logic of the "Mayuyu" nickname, it's just repeating the last syllab, so Paruru's name should go from "Haruka" to "Haruru". But to make it sound cuter, the H was replaced by a P. it makes more sense in japanese hiragana writing:

はるか = Haruka
はるる = Haruru
ぱるる = Paruru

The "は" = "Ha" can either be changed to "Ba" or "Pa".

As you can see, all they did is add that little dot/round above the Ha to make it Pa. that's how they got "Paruru" as nickname! it's such a cute nickname too

 

^ Of course, you can always think of "ぱ" (Pa) as "は" (Ha) with a dimple

Oh! I get it! I know when you and " in-front of は you get Ba and a little o at the top front makes Pa. Makes sense. Paruru does sound cuter than Hruru.

She still looks thin. Poor girl needs to put on more weight. Will this Disney thing be streamed somewhere? I'd love to see her play the Sax too. Its one of the very few, if not only, wind instrument that I think is kinda cool.
