for me she is just too hard to follow..

Takahiro said one of techi best feature was the switch when its on she become totally different person..

maybe the switchs was more than one..

But I do agree there's a lot of overthinking things. As far as I can tell she's just a teenager with teenager issues multiplied x1000 because she was quickly thrust into the spotlight of national fame.

Now I'm scared of seeing him standing next to Habu. I don't want my illusion of Shingeki no Habu shattered.

 

I don't know much about Keyakizaka or Hirate Yurina in general but from the performances I've seen, I completely agree with you. I've done dance myself for a few years and although she's not quite as crisp in her movement, you can definitely tell that she's a naturally talented dancer. Her dance is not so much about the movement, which I feel like a lot of idols do (do the movement as per the choreographer but focus is on the smile/appeal), but more on the execution. She doesn't simply dance. She performs.

There is intent. There is emotion. There is heart in her dancing.

I've watched this collab with Hirai Ken a few times and she really seems to focus on performing, not so much for the audience, but to channel the feeling of the song into her dance. Talk about putting emotion into motion. The sky is the limit for this girl. I have no opinion on her current mental state but I wish her all the best in whatever she's going through and I hope someone can help nurture her artistic side as it's extremely refreshing to see in an idol.

 

In his blog, Hirai Ken says Techi didn't talk much, but referred to him as "someone born in the 1000s." Hirai-san wrote that it appears people born after 2000 refer to people born earlier in this way. He laughed that it puts him in the same category as Minamoto no Yoritomo (shogun circa 1200 AD).

Techi seems to be getting a lot of hate of late but that's just some negs of being the Queen.
Wishing Jedi Techi the force for 2018!

 

^ I think a lot of it is because she isn't fitting into the box that a lot of wotas have for idols especially the center/ace/face of the group.
Whatever else Techi is she's at least interesting and not a cookie cutter idol.
