Okapan is still recovering from a leg injury, but the chance to be on TV was too important to turn down

Ahhh... Okapan was in that performance! Man she's like so super pretty now... she's so pretty that even when I watched that vid at what seemed like 240p she was still blocky and pretty. LOL. And I liked that Haruppi was the only one that didn't button up her jacket. :shifty: But man... this has to be like the most generic cutesy idolish sounding song ever. :fear:

I am very pleasantly surprised that they managed to outsell previous singles. by only 382 copies, but still... I thought the sales will drastically decrease because of SSK saving up, very expensive Meijiza tickets and overseas concerts DVD sales, but they even increased! really glad. go, Hakata!)) :1st:

Amazing that HKT managed to sneak past the previous singles every time. This trend should continue for the next single as well.

    Soundscan:
    Type A: 27,231
    Type B: 23,051
    Type C: 21,638
    Total: 71,920

    HILY: 80,615
    SakuTabe: 80,088

Anyways, just for fun, here's our competitors whom some were concerned a while back:
    #2 - BUMP OF CHICKEN: 150,417
As expected, such incredibly loaded single allowed them to do very well.
    #3 - J Soul Brothers: 107,685
We were most worried about these guys, then again I guess we forgot their past singles like O.R.I.O.N relies on music cards, which is not counted anymore.
    #8 - Girls' Generation: 20,835

Soundscan lower so that means the increase was entirely due to increase in individual handshake events.

Yeah, though I guess it's just Sakura and Sasshi who sold more HS. 30/30 (5th), 20/20 (4th) and 21/30 (5th), 20/20 (4th) respectively. For the rest, 6 events didn't help to increase sales.

@Hitokage Hard to say because a girl could have sold more tickets and be 0/30 than when they were 20/20.

You know by rough estimate this single's theater only sold slightly more than HILY's theater. With Sakura and Sasshi already selling a fair bit more, the rest obviously didn't do better, especially when certain 3rd generations are doing better than before. And I have said many times before, what you said is only possible in theory, but simply won't happen practically, and hasn't ever in the past, especially for a drastically huge difference like 0/30 and 20/20.

Based on what? Sakura sold out 10 more slots and Sasshi 1 but there were roughly 10k more theatre eds sold.

Also we don't know how those girls sold individually. Some could well have sold more than for previous singles and some could have done worse while both showing 0/30 results. While I agree about 0/30 v 20/20 we have to acknowledge that not a lot of the girls had 20/20 numbers in the first place.

My point is that we shouldn't draw too many conclusion on how individual members sold in comparison to HILY.

It's roughly 9k actually, and that's more than enough for Sakura's 10 more and Sasshi's 1 more to cover. Again, not to mention the 3rd gen.
No one is drawing too much conclusions here going into individual members, it was just "For the rest, 6 events didn't help to increase sales." While apparently you wished to go deeper.

    1 slot is 90 minutes and 1 handshake is 10 seconds = 5940 at most :).

And maybe I misunderstood but I thought "the rest" in

referred to the rest of the girls, implying they didn't sell more because of increase in events. On aggregate that is most certainly true but we don't know what it has done for individual girls.

What did Suki Skip and Melon Juice do on Soundscan? more than 80k?

If that's your comeback, especially for someone who's already popular enough to sell out 21 other slots, fine, then 0/30 is 0 at most on an even bigger scale.
Want more in depth? I can go into the theater edition's bus tour event.

Can't be bothered to check, but I do know their 1st single is the highest with 90k+ soundscan.
