Single HKT48 8th [Saikou ka yo] (2016/09/07)

In terms of screen time distribution I have a feeling Team H song will be more homogeneous, so far KIV is all about Sakura, Mio and Madoka, but that's only the short version so it's hard to tell what will come next.

I like the rhythm of KIV better than H. Go bananas sounds fresh and original, choreography looks promising as well. H's song at first sounds a bit generic, but I felt the same way about Saikou ka yo, 74 okubun, and others...

Overall visuals, camera work, and set up, I don't see a lot of originality in either H or KIV, in fact "Go bananas" outfits are very similar to their last team song IIRC (don't remember the title), different outfits might have made the mv stand out more. H's outfits are fine, all the girls look really nice though it seems a bit low budget to me, like they didn't really bothered to consider the outfits so much for either team...

I'm Looking forward to Team TII's song. Hopefully they will give a fair opportunity to shine to all the members, it's only 10 girls (right?), so it should be easy to work with... I wonder who will center... I'm personally hoping for a little prominence to Sakamoto Erena!

I actually liked TII's song, sounds pretty good, outfits are cute, but for a first team song it would've been nice to feature all the members more equally, considering there aren't that many members yet, so it would've been a good opportunity to showcase them better. But it's just the short version so my view might change when the full version comes out...

 

I like TII the best tbh.

For me there's nothing to dislike in this single, but it isn't too great either.

 

Considering it's their first team song. I can accept the easy difficulty of the song.
But, I'm now concerned with the vocal prowess of the whole team. A worry for another day.
lol, WHO'S IDEA IT IS TO PUT MARIA there in the dance shot? The balance is so off it so visible...

 

Unfortunately Maria's so tiny compared to her teammates, management's only options to make it visually appealing are to either give her Center or to sit her out of the dance segment and have her as some sort of TII mascot

I like them all as a package in album, not hella good but satisfying enough to buy. I can imagine their concert will be so much fun with that wota chant and go banana dance. The MV exposure is not shocking at all, still kinda cranky with meru position but I hope this will fire up fans..so in the conclusion, well done girls

 

The costumes are a bit random and the song is a bit average, but I like it overall. Hana's already starting to look more and more confident!

 

I mean it's not Rock it's 'soramimi' rock lol.
The screentime distribution is pretty good for everyone bar the very last 2 positions(Tsutsui and Yuuna?) I'm not even sure I saw Tsutsui(back right?)'s face clearly.

Team TII's song is cute, less members also mean more screentime for all of them on average. The sad thing is that Maria is so hard to see in the close up group shots because of the huge height difference.
