Thanks for posting @Reveen! Definitely brings back some wonderful memories. Anyone know if there was any video of the moment Haruppi was told she'd be center for the first time?

I guess I'm missing this? I realize the video is the announcement video of her being center, but I don't see where she learns of it the first time. I'm hoping to see her initial reaction when she was told she was finally getting the center spot.

 

When you see her speak face to face with the cam is her describing things.

 

What did they say when announcing her hiatus? How many years has it been?

Haruppi is graduating from HKT in 9th June and the next she will be transfer to Avex Asunaro Company

I will take this as confirmation that she is fine, so that's good. On the other hand i'm extremely sad she never came back to HKT and that she is leaving like this. What happened to her to no even wanting to come back?

 

Is it really sad though? Sure it's bad for HKT, but the bottom line is she's back, isn't it? Pop the bubbly and light up the fireworks.

 

She's back and with a role in a Stage Play on September...
She's now an ACTRESS!!

 

Oh well, it's not like no one saw this coming.
So this means she won't even show up on a stage before 06/09 ?

 

What is she gonna do in avex? Be an actress or she might perform? Cuz if she does, THAT is why Namie Amuro retired.

 

The article says that there won't be a graduation stage.

Which I think IS sad. She's the groups original center, there are still lots of first gen members still in the group, Haruppi graduating SHOULD be a big deal.

Well, I wished for at least a show up and a talk, not specially a full show.
It's not easy to restart from scratch after more than a year without performing, surely without practice either.

Sure but even a speech/letter and a rendition of Sakura no Hanabiratachi would have been something for the fans at least.

I'll support her in her new career but this isn't how I envisaged her HKT career ending.

 

My main takeaway from this is that she's back to good health, which is a relief.

It's sad that she decided to graduate but it might be for the best. Though I believe HKT still needs her ;;;;

 

Well, on one hand I'm deeply sad because she was - by some distance - my favourite member of HKT. . . but on the other hand, she's back in the world, looking healthy and pretty and embarking on a new career path - and I wish her all the very best.

It's just sad to lose someone who shone as brightly as she did, and with no fanfare or real goodbye. . .
