So for this part, they're having what they call the "Jacket 1 Grand Prix" race to commemorate the CD release. It's not literally a race, but 5 magazine companies will compete in it for pride. Each of the different 500-yen CD versions will have its CD jacket created by a different magazine company and you "vote" for a particular one by buying it. Whichever company has the highest sales wins.

The 5 participating magazines are:

Box 1 (White): Young Champion (By Akita Shonen) - AVCA-62485
Box 2 (Red): FRIDAY (By Kodansha) - AVCA-62486
Box 3 (Blue): B.L.T. (By TOKYO NEWS) - AVCA-62487
Box 4 (Green): Weekly Playboy (By Shueisha) - AVCA-62488
Box 5 (Yellow): Weekly Big Comic Spirits (By Shogakukan) - AVCA-62489

(It's a literal who's-who of idol-related magazine publishers.)


So on the "mark sheet" that you get with each one of the 500-yen versions, you basically have to bet on the order they will finish in sales, like in a horse race.

For example: 5-2-3-4-1 would mean you think Weekly BCS will take #1 in sales, FRIDAY will take #2 in sales, etc.... etc....

The winning applicant will get a date with Mocchi at the Tokyo Racetrack where she can give you betting tips.

Even though I'm overshadowed by the sad shocking news today about Sayaka, It's happy news that Asuka Kuramochi has announced her solo debut and her 1st solo photobook.

Good luck to Mocchi and her upcoming solo debut!

 

Just checked HMV and CDJapan and Mocchi's new single is listed on both, 1 regular edition and the 5 types sponsored by the magazines.

On HMV there is a mocchi item for 2500 yen listed under the cd section but I'm betting thats the photobook, no details on it yet though. Can't wait to see the cover

On April 29th. AKB48, Tomomi Kasai and Asuka Kuramochi will make appearances on MUSIC JAPAN. As you could note, those two girls are presented besides AKB48, so I'm guessing that pretty much this means that they will show some advancements of their soloist works.

The show will be recorded that monday and probably will be aired on May 2nd. Since that I noticed which the show was moved to Thursdays.

Ok, so I tried ordering Mocchi's new cd's from HMV and they apparently are embargoed from selling the cd outside Japan (first time thats ever happened with them), then tried CDJapan and they were charging stupidly high shipping fees so had to go with YesAsia (and their stellar reputation for not f-----g up orders). Anyway, as long as I get the cd's thats all that matters

 

Scans not out yet, currently.
