Let's have a top 20 song ranking

Taking the Shibuya AX 100 idea and doing our little version.

This is not going to be the official thread, but I was thinking that it would be interesting to have a top 20 song ranking.

I am thinking that we should discuss how to do the ranking.

Personally I couldn't do 100 songs, nor do I think it's that important to include all of them.

The top 10 will probably be similar to the Shibuya AX list (Aitakatta, Bingo, DMT, etc) so 10 is too short. 50 is sorta....i dont know...you guys wanna do 50? 100?

Maybe 25?

As for points, I think each person gets to submit 1 "ballot"

Example: let's say we do 25 songs. Going from 1 (top) to 25 (bottom) the points would work like this:

1. Sakura no hanabiratachi (25 points)
2. Dear my teacher (24 points)
3. [song name] (23 points)
4. [song name] (22 points)
||
||
25. [song name] (1 point)


What do you think?

Rating (point) system, number of songs, etc.

I like the rating system and I think either 25 or 50 is good.

Would we include songs from B3, K4?

 

Sounds like a fun game.

Twenty-fives is probably a good number for the people here (though tough for me since I usually only listen to at most ten of their songs).

Will there by chance be a "Worst Song Ranking" where we give songs negative points?

 

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the number of songs each person would rank, not the number of available songs to pick from. All songs eligible, just rank only 20 them (for example).

I think the foreigners fans think a little different than japanese fans

 

I think the point system is good like this. I agree we shouldn't do too many. Top 30 might be too much already, 25 is good. If someone wants to do more, I think we still have that rating thread. Also, if someone thinks he/she can't make a full list of 25 (or whatever number is decided on) for whatever reason, don't participate.

 

Crap, I guess I have to expand my list.

Another question: Will we have to give a brief explanation as to why we like the song? Or just give the title and score?

They have enough songs so it should be doable. I just said that because I think it'll screw up the rating if, for example, someone only ranks their top 10 and than writes "I can't decide on the rest".

Explanations shouldn't be necessary. Maybe, if you really feel like writing some, put it below the rankings so that whoever does the counting can find the relevant part more easily.

um, think 20 is good enough..

 

I like 25, that way there can be more variety. (Plus, that equals one night in the Shibuya AX concert.)

 

^ yeah, 25 somehow sounds better, 10 is very easy..
majority of my top songs will be by Team K..

 

Is it possible if i post up 25 songs after that following with the comments on why the song is chosen?

I think this is better~ If there is no reason at least can skip to the other one~

Oh then sure. Make it maybe 30 then~ Since A1 to now there's already quite a lot of song to be choose~

 

25 sounds fine to me, how do we submit the songs we've chosen? Do we write them here or... I feel like I'm missing something here XD

 

I think there'll be a new thread for this once we decided on the basics.

 

i have a suggestion.. all those who want to participate, just submit their top 25 and the song that appears the most will be on the top spot and so on.. this is similar to point system..
however, this would require a deadline.
