Wow, that's really her?! I know people's voices can improve, but I didn't think they could change so drastically. o_o She really sounds like that now? Wahhhh!

Music Man main cast were on the Fuji television show on April 14th that showed rehearsal scenes with Kayano but I can't find a clip of it. T_T

Among the graduates, Oshima Mai and Usami Yuki attended one of her performances. She also received a joint present from Usami Yuki and Orri Ayumi.

She also got alot of flowers! AKB48 and AKS both sent her a bouquet (aren't they the same thing essentially?) and so did Akimoto-sensei....

I can't buy Kayano's CD!!!!! It comes out on the 23rd and I leave tomorrow on the 21st. T_T

WHY?!?!?!?

But she's having a CD release event on the 27th! And Uramiya Honpo will be re-airing in BS Japan in July so Kayano gets two episodes of decent screen time then.

Does anyone else feel like Ishida Anna from team KII has the same kind of appeal as Kayano? I'm not saying they look alike, but they are pretty and cute in the same way I think.

^ I actually haven't seen enough KII yet to compare but I remember people used to say that ex-kenkyusei Fujimoto Sara used to remind them of Kayano.

BTW Gekikoi in which Kayano has maybe 7 minutes of screen time total in the entire miniseries is reairing. I wouldn't bother watching it.

She just appears as the main character's childhood friend who has a boyfriend who spills some secrets about the main character's boyfriend.

Kayano appeared in Manfuku Shoujo Dragonet episode 4 as the main non-villian character. Manfuku Shoujo Dragonet is pretty much like live-action Sailor Moon, only with pervier costumes but much better martial arts. Oh and the girls have intrinsic magical abilities that does not require pulling out a magic cell phone or bracelet. Everything does appear with hearts and stars though. Now for the episode recap!

So we begin with a magazine. Hey that model looks kinda familiar don't you think?

The three magic girls (I will refer to them by the color of their costumes; pink, yellow, blue and they happen to be sisters) chat about models and how cute Reka-san (Kayano's character) and blah blah blah. Suddenly their aunt and also the head of the detective agency walks in dressed like she's about to participate in the running of the bulls. She announces dramatically to the girls that they have a modeling job.

Their job is, of course to protect the model, not actually model themselves, to their disappointment. They observe some pretty wagamama, selfish, spoiled behavior by Reka on the set. It turns out that someone is stalker her. The manager shows the three magic girls a photo of the stalker and begs them to protect Reka. A scream is heard and they all take off for Reka's dressing room where a theatening message is left all over those gigantic mirrors. Reka doesn't want three bodyguards following her around and getting in the way of her job. The manager threatens to quit so Reka reluctantly takes the pink girl as she has looks and style and tells the other two to get lost.

Pink girl slowly befriends Reka, invites Reka over to her parents' chinese restaurant for dinner. Reka warms up to them but as they are leaving, someone tries to run Reka over with a car. Pink girl tells her sisters that she believes Reka's manager is actually the stalker.


At Reka's job, she cheerfully tells the magic girls that she'll be fine. Her stylist and designer will be with her after all so the magic girls can just wait in her dressing room. (Noooo! Big mistake Kaya!) Pink girl starts to worry and decides to go check. Uh-oh - doors are locked. They transform into their not-so-innocent looking magic girl outfits and break down the door using some cheap CG effects. They all take off in different directions to look for Reka. Pink girl hears a scream coming from the roof and goes to rescue Reka.

Oh noes! Poor Reka is trapped on the roof with her stalker. Pink girl bursts out and tells the manager to stop. Stalker takes off the sunglasses, cap, and face mask to reveal herself as the designer/stylist as Reka's manager and the girls' aunt come on the roof. Stylist goes on and on about how bratty and spoiled Reka is and how Reka threw a handmade scrunchie that the stylist gave her for her birthday into the trash. Reka approaches and apologizes while the stylist angrily pushes her away. Over the roof.


Luckily stylist catches her and tells her not to let go. After a touching moment as we see Reka's grip loosen they both falls over only to be caught in mid-air by a bunch of special effects the yellow and blue girl.

And the episode ends with another shot of a magazine.


I want to buy that. Seriously. Kaya looks pretty good as a model.

It's great to hear about her being in anything because as long as she continues having roles, it doesn't even matter if they're small. She's keeping at it and working. :3

She cut her hair too.

And during the 24HR TV special, chibi Kayano appeared in an old video with Takamina at the theater. This was aired during the special Michael Jackson dance medley with the down syndrome kids. It was about a split second but unmistakably Kayano as she was the only one who looked that short compared to Takamina back then.

YAY! She looks so much younger in those pictures. Or just really different. ('Cept for the blog/profile picture) But yay, I'm glad she has a blog! Now I just gotta learn to read Japanese.

I have become a fan after her graduation, but when I was watching their first PVs, I kept wondering who was that cute, tiny tiny girl.
Why did she graduate? Surely not for age limits...
