MNL48 recently released a video explaining their plans going forward. The positive news is that they're planning on doing new subunits after the success of Baby Blue. The bad news is that they've been having financial struggles and, so, are planning on becoming a 36 member girl group. They currently have 44 regular members and 15 trainee members, and it was unclear whether this 36 member number included the trainee members or not. i agree, it feels like HHE bit of more than they could chew, and it caught up to them a lot quicker than they expected.
Honestly? I can't wait for more Sub-Units. This makes me happy because I literally talked about this on my Facebook the other day, when I finally watched Lyra's debut Single. I especially wanted MNL48 to have a Sub-Unit, or rather, more.
