Thanks for starting a thread, makistar! :)

Good for Yuko (or Midori ;))

There's some more info about the movie (in English) along with that trailer from the official site, here: http://www.nipponcinema.com/news/new_tr ... y_orchard/

    Nice cast!

Seems I was wrong about this being an outright remake! Ah well!

Coming out already?! Oh boy!!

I actually wanna see this movie. I'm guessing it's one of those touching dramatic types. B-)

    And go Yuko!

It looks like one of those boring films where nothing happens...no action scenes. It all about the message of the story.

Yay! I'll probably watch the whole thing, not understand a word, and be utterly ecstatic everytime Yuko appears on screen! :D

I just thought it would be a good idea to update this thread with the news that the movie premiered on Saturday 8th November, and repost the information posted by makistar in the "News & Release" thread (thanks a lot, makistar)

And there are some scans (not mine) from the Official Visual Book in Yuko's gallery thread.

btw, i watched the dvd last saturday. overall drama factor was ok, and umm... the rest i'll write in white:
    -- begin --

    1. was so surprised to see ueto aya in the movie, and she sang "yume no chikara"! like, that part really made me shout. i was a really big big fan of the drama "attack no. 1" which used the same song as its ending theme, right before i became an akb48 fan (well akb48 did not exist yet when the drama aired)

    2. now i'm beginning to wonder if the 10nen sakura scene of yuko getting pregnant was a reference to her role here. 10nen sakura = 10 years after. this movie mentions things that happened 11 years ago. hehe. AND in the movie yuko thought she was pregnant, but found out later that she was not. lol.

    3. yuko really has pretty decent screentime in her movies.

    4. lastly, i'm wondering if the sakura no hanabiratachi 2008 yuko scene influenced this movie. hehe. she almost kissed one of the cast members (female).

    5. i'm addicted to these kind of stories. having deeper meanings that what they portray on screen (for this one, the sakura no sono play was not just a play, it could be interpreted as the story of the school itself).

After I watched this movie no sub, I can say I still like it.
I think it has good director, he is the same director of the first ver film.
The fake cherry petals part made me smile.
Yuko did well in the movie, but the three main characters didnt.
I like Saki but I dont like her role.
I also like the girl who plays Yuko's partner, the two are so funny!
Did someone watch the theatre ver.?
Hope it will be sub soon
