Well. There's no need to be rude about it. People are allowed to express their wishes and they were obvious in saying they know it isn't gonna happen.

 

Whoa there. There are almost 2 billion people in South Asia and millions of them are into Western music and K-pop.

 

MBI48 would be better name for this.

Could they debut in spring of next year?

If there will be exchange again:

1. If MUM48 hasn't debuted yet, there'd be 6 exchange students, they can perform Nage Kiss as Zenza.
2. If MUM48 debuts, there'd be 7 exchange students, they can perform Skirt Hirari as Zenza.

 

Where did this number came from? Even in other group there's only one or two Kaigai lmao

 

I believe I did mention "Hollywood" as the sole foreign entertainment industry relevant in South Asia.
K-pop is irrelevant there. Perhaps, you're right and there are few millions K-pop fans in South Asia, they must be sparse and not profitable. K-pop had surveyed Indian market and found it impossible. Have you seen any K-pop idol held a fanmeet/concert in South Asia?
Neither South Asian contents are popular outside the sub-continent but among oversea South Asian communities.
Population size is not variable with connectivity to rest of Asian entertainment industry. Central Asia, despite small and extremely sparse population, is more welcoming to K-pop (and Brit pop) and is more interested by Korean entertainment agencies.

AKB48 is going to hold a festival with all the overseas sister groups in Thailand on January 27th(the day after BNK's 1st election). During the event an important announcement will be made about MUM48.

My guesses are: The group will disband, the TV show to pick the members will be announced, or the group will be renamed to one of the names suggested here, or AKB48 Team MU.

Huh? Well, southernmost point of whole Asia is indeed in Indonesia, a small island named Rote but eastern Indonesia is Oceania more than Asia.

The same way as Valdivostok where NGT48 filmed their latest single's MV is in East Asia, not in Europe while you can always think that Russia is an European country.

Not a fan of that user's incessant rudeness so not taking sides here at all.

Anyway I hope they actually give some info about what's going on with the audition in the announcement. The foreign sister groups have really had mixed results so far. I kind of wish AKS was more proactive in establishing them in the beginning at least.

or just the member 1st gen announcement...

 

Can't be SDN'd since they existed, had singles and stages. TPE'd, though? What would the letters be? Team MB?

My guess is it is an announcement that there will be an announcement of some kind...unless of course they are gen 1 already then I really think the announcement would come after the first few songs when we realize, "hey who ARE those extra girls on stage?"

 

I’m guessing they already had members training for all these months and will probably release the officially group there.

You really think they have recruited all Gen 1 members, don't you?
Maybe they are going to hire some... people and tell the audience that these people are the Gen 1 of MUM48.
After that, they will disband immediately.

Pyongyang48 is the only solution for the 48Group now, but they have to change the members constantly, because they keep getting killed all the time Damn sad
