Outstanding Model-like Body Type: Interview with the Beautiful Legs Trio

Nakano Ikumi and Hitomi Kotone have been the Team 8 representatives of model-like style, and have been joined by their fellow Chikoku area member, Shitao Miu, who has recently gone through a growth spurt, to form the top three members with beautiful legs who we have interviewed. We expected a talk about beauty routines, fashion magazines and models, but somehow some surprising topics came up… Let’s see what their dreams together are.


----So you three are considered to be the “Beautiful legs” trio in Team 8, but out of the three of you, who do you think has the best legs? On “ready, go”, please point to who you think it is. Ready, go!

Hitomi: You chose yourself~!


Nakano: It’s fine (lol).


-----That’s fine (lol) In that case, Nakano-san, what is your beauty regimen then?


Nakano: Nothing in particular, honestly (lol). But I do work really hard on the night before a shoot. I massaged my legs last night. Sorry for only ever doing that right before (lol).


Shitao: I also don’t anything in particular, but last night I did, too (lol). I raise them up to keep them from swelling.


Nakano: But, those things we all learned from Kotone. Kotone does some model work and does a lot of work for her beauty regimen to care for her legs.


Shitao: Kocchan does it, so I often feel like I should try, as well. So out of the three of us, Kocchan is the beautiful legs leader!


Hitomi: You really think so? (lol)


Nakano: Kotone has a good fashion sense and I think you use that to make your legs look even longer. It’s like you’re trying to become the “Long Legs Obasan,” is that it? (lol)


Hitomi: I’m only 17 years old, I’m too young to be an obasan~! (lol)


-----So, if Hitomi-san is the leader, what is your beauty regimen, then?


Hitomi: It’s not eating bread.


Nakano: Is that it? Why?


Hitomi: It’s not as filling as rice, so you eat a lot.


Nakano: Kotone does give off the impression of not asking for seconds!


Shitao: I totally ask for seconds. (lol)


Hitomi: These two are always saying “I wanna eat yakiniku~!” (lol)


-----As expected, diet is important. You three are all Chukoku area members, so what about your home prefectures’ food?


Nakano: Now that you mention that, there are lots of girls in my home prefecture with good figures.


Shitao: I hadn’t really noticed it, but maybe the food there is good or something?


Nakano: Maybe. But I think what it is is that the environment we grew up in is good. Like there aren’t many people, so maybe then you grow taller?


Hitomi: Now that you mention it!


Shitao: Yeah, it’s not cramped at all.


And how will these three polish their beauty from now on?


----So what do you three think about each other’s figures?


Nakano: Really, Kotone’s is the most distracting.


Shitao: Seriously, Kocchan is pretty. She has the feeling of someone who girls would look up to and I’m so jealous.


Nakano: I love Kotone’s face.


Hitomi: You talk about my face a lot (lol).


Nakano: I’ll talk about right before a theater show or something. I could talk about like her eyebrows or mouth or bangs for five minutes each!


Shitao: Her love for Kocchan is pretty amazing.


Nakano: I’ll buy the same brands Kotone does to copy her fashion sense.


Hitomi: I can buy you the same clothes if you’d like.


Nakano: That’s a great idea (lol)


-----So Nakano-san really respects Hitomi-san, but how has she changed?


Shitao: She got rid of her bangs. I think her current hairstyle is good.


Hitomi: It looks more mature.


Nakano: I’m so happy!


Shitao: Also, she’s gotten more stylish.


Hitomi: (lol)


Nakano: Hold on, you just laughed, didn’t you! I bet you were totally just thinking “Because she copies my style.”


Shitao: Well, what does our leader think of her fashion sense?


Hitomi: So-so… (lol)


Nakano: Thank you for your honest evaluation (lol). But I do think I’ve grown on my own, too. Even a year ago I’d only have like three outfits that I’d ever wear and they weren’t all that fashionable. I’d just wear sweats. So to have grown from that, I think that’s quite the change or something.


----So how do you think Shitao-san has changed this year?


Nakano: Well she’s very well-balanced, so she’s grown into this aura of being like this young actress.


Shitao: What sort of aura is that (lol).


Hitomi: The gorgeous, loved type.


Shitao: Oh, I’m so glad~! But, you two are so thin, so when we’re together it’s probably different.


Nakano: Ehhhh! Don’t say that. Since Team 8 was formed, I’ve been hoping that the three of us would be packaged as a group. We’ve done a lot of unit songs with the three of us and I think they’re always really good.


Hitomi: If we can, I’d like us to do a cool concept together.


Shitao: I want a unit name for us!


Hitomi: Well an English name would totally be cool. We all have beautiful legs so… How about “BEAUTIFUL LEGS”?


Nakano: Let’s do it!


Shitao: That’s good. So then, let’s go “BEAUTIFUL LEGS”!
