Single Nogizaka46 21st [Jikochuu de Ikou!] (2018/08/08)

Now, I am definitely getting captivated by the combinations. Nanase usually has a cool song, add Maiyan and it becomes a cool melancholic song.
This single is good. I guess we can now expect singles like this in the future.

Management has never given Nanase a bad song... Maiyan has a few... Did Kokoro no Monologue bring Maiyan to Nanase's level or drag Nanase down to Maiyan's? Hmm.....

If anything, I can only think of Kodoku Kyoudai... it's just didn't click to me...

Anyway, after re-listening I think they put a voice filter over the real track to make it sound more gloomy, thus it's getting hard to distinguish which is which.
I do agree that's Maiyan at the start of the song though.

 

I always can distinguish Nanase's voice somehow, lmao.
She has this mellow hypnotizing voice...the one you hear from cats purring for your food.

 

Good song, bad song, it's down to everyone's preference. Like how people hype on Hoka no Hoshi kara, but I dislike that song. And a few of Nanase's solo ballad is just too boring. Maiyan has a few miss too, e.g her duet with Manatsu. But i like most of Maiyan's unit song.

Considering it's the two of them singing it, I find it hilariously good

 

Koumori Yo could have been a great song if it wasn't ruined by the abysmal production. Such a pity. I really don't understand how that could've happened, since Nogi songs tend to have a crisp and well balanced sound.

 

I would agree with Kodoku and Ma ii ka, but Koumori is not bad....even if it's not among my favorite I'm glad that there is such Nogizaka song.

Well, they're now two aces of Nogi so there're always comparisons, this song just triggers them.
But I agree it's time to stop and look forward to something new.

 

The interesting part is, Maiyan and Nanase each has completely different charm. You just can't compare them. Kinda like yin and yang of nogi. You can't just look at one without being forced to look at the other. Thus songs double-centered by them has amazing vibes, at least for me.
