Sashihara Rino (Sasshi) / AKB 5th Generation

Welp, finally got my hands and read these two amazing books. Hella good read! It really allows the reader to know more about them and their thinking process, growing-up history, and idol ideologies. Worth every penny.

I really relate myself to many of Sashi's thinking though, "Never play in the opponents game let them play in yours!" Wise words.

I am conflicted about SSK as Sasshi always gets my votes, but she has also won a lot, so maybe I should give my votes to someone else?
Has anyone else done this?

 

^ nope. all-in for Sasshi. this might be her last SSK, 2nd place is not an option. don't want to see another 2014.

has anyone watched Showrooms of applicants to Sasshi's idol group? tomorrow is the last day.
I've watched a bit of almost every SR that showed a face, and here is my top based on looks alone with no particular order. I guess for a group with 5-7 members there are enough good looking girls.

I highly recommend everyone to watch latest JobTune special. it has no Sasshi, but it's very informative (and fun)). it tells how Japanese TV shows and dramas are made, about ratings, about casting, etc.

- Great participation of Tokumitsu-san in this show! He was very mean with the enka singers back then. And he got the ability to control his tears! Glad he ended up in good terms with Paruru.
- Funny interaction of Akko-Machami and Akko-Hiromi.
- WTF was the BEST 10??? Crazy old times!
- I wonder if the viewer rate research method is the same worldwide.
- Interesting that people look for MCs that reflects theirselves, as men look for male MCs at the same age. No Sasshi tho (Sato Shiori, Kojima Ruriko and Fujita Nicole in the young females cathegory).

I'm impressed all the work (and cost) they have with the various message boards. I even thought it'd be better to try replacing it with digital panels and something like tablets but I wonder if it works. I remember Music Station tried to use virtual backgrounds but it didn't work 100% of time and they still use traditional sceneries.

Some artists I recognized in the show:
Takeda Tetsuya - Main role in the dramas Kinpachi Sensei and 101 Me no Proposal.
Izumi Pinko - Played Oshin's mom in the drama Oshin (btw it ranked 6th in the viewers rate ranking).
Suzuki Ami - Was a very known singer in the late 90s / early 2000s.
Machami (Hisamoto Masami) - She was one of the MCs of reality show variety Ainori along with Imachan (Imada Koji) for almost 10 years.
Neptune (MCs) - I used to watch the Warau Inu series with Becky in her early days in variety. Of course we can't forget their spin-off hit YATTA!
Rokkaku Seiji - Played a forum member in the drama Densha Otoko.
Fujiwara Tatsuya - Played Yagami Light in live action series Death Note and Shishio Makoto in the movie Rurouni Kenshin.

yeah, I think rating measurement method is the same worldwide, that's why it's kinda useless for fans to watch shows with their faves in real time "to boost ratings" - their TVs aren't monitored.

btw, lack of Sasshi in the young female category could be positive as well - it could mean that producers see her as MC candidate rather than hinadan guest.

Oh yeah, I didn't notice they were talking about guests selection and no longer about MCs, it's all Cunning Takeyama's fault! I was distracted by him not being appropriate to be a MC. Good for Sasshi!
