These are different times though. Probably Maeda wanted to avoid any possible complaint from the antis about her "priviledge" of always being chosen as the center and complaints from the members as well, like when "you know who" complained about Maeda's yellow costume in Nagisa no Cherry while the back dancers' were blue.

But I think I've heard Shinobu saying she always made Sasshi's skirts shorter than the other girls to highlight her legs, even before she became center, which is very welcome. If her skirt in #Sukinanda were long as NGT girls' (whose pictures are in the article), it would be a big waste.

Sasshi definitely likes being a center. for her it's a reward, a happy and rare occasion when she can stand out, so her thoughts about it are different from the girls who are chosen by management and are pressured by it.
I still remember that moment when Nogi members appeared on Momm and Nakai asked (29:55-) Nanase and Maiyan how they feel about being center. they answered that they feel nervousness and pressure and when Nakai asked Sasshi, she said that it feels great

I can't believe every young girl in AKB (regardless of team) doesn't gravitate to her for advice and counsel and a shot of confidence-building. Who knows more about making the most of what you have than Sashihara Rino. She literally wrote the book on such matters.

when "Gyakutenryoku" was released, a lot of idols wrote about it, but one thing is to read it, another thing is to implement what's written in it and completely another thing is to succeed in it. I've tried to analyze and write down things that led to Sasshi's success once and there were dozens of them, so I gave up, since it became apparent that you can't really replicate it. some of the things like luck, timing, actions/reactions from other people, weren't even in her control. so you can say that success is kind of a miracle. or a fate. some people are destined to succeed and others are not. following another example can help you to some extent, but in the end of the day, it's either you succeed your own way or you'll fail trying to replicate success of others.

Re: Sasshi and her success, told supposedly thru Gyakutenryoku: very often when successful people are asked how they do it... they forget sometimes two things -- 1) that while it's their decisions and the bravery to make them that lead to success... there are a countless number of others who also make decisions that propel your *options* upward/forward, & 2) while it's your life and your success, it's only one perspective. Sasshi's listing of aspects to follow is impossible to replicate, because she herself doesn't observe them all simultaneously -- she *intuitively* knows when, where, & with whom to apply which aspect. This is why she's as respected among different strata of society as she is -- if it were as easy as parroting a book, everyone would be Sasshi... which means no one would be Sasshi. She and 48G's success after Yuko grad are highly relevant to one another.

 

Choya Umeshu's (alcohol) twitter followed Sasshi's account. it follows only 3 other people all of whom had appeared in it's CM, so we can probably expect Sasshi to have a CM as well when she'll turn 25 (since now only those who are older than 25 can appear in CM of alcohol).
