I liked the first formats of UTAGE! (everybody singing) and Momm!! (Nakai receiving visits in his home) ... not so much the new Momm!! and definitely didn't like the UTAGE! with guest singers contest.

Thanks! I was about to ask what was Sasshi's part in 24 hours TV.

 

Nakai should go back to the original UTAGE format. That was the most fun, and every Nakai show after that was so boring.

today was the first day of sales of #SukiNanda. it safely sold over a million of copies, so Sasshi said her bye-bye to SSK and thanked her fans for the past 9 years.

 

Very good program (specially the first half of it). One important point I think she said was that although it's important to be receptive to what other people expect of you and be accepted by them (in Sasshi's case, the fact that people used to tease her with the busu chara) since the japanese society doesn't take kindly those who refuse to do things right from the beginning, there's no need to keep submitting to it forever if you're not comfortable with it. Above all, you must be firm, confident of yourself, and be respected.

 

^ yeah, it was interesting to hear that Sasshi changed her mind, but I don't think that her previous belief was wrong. at first it is best to accept the character other people give you to become friendly faster, but as the time goes by, your true character will reveal itself naturally.
each behavior model should be used at appropriate time, and that is why it's so hard to copy Sasshi - she knows and feels when and how to address other people (just like she tells big wigs from not so big ones apart)). it's a talent and not everyone can achieve and do it as effortlessly as she does.

^ Agreed. I think Sasshi hasn't actually changed her mind, I guess she still thinks it's better to accept the character other people give you than trying to make yourself something that doesn't fit you (like an idol, for example, saying that she's "in charge of monomane" when it clearly doesn't fit her), but now she also thinks how long is it worth doing it after your true character has already revealed. I guess that "Shabekuri incident" served to make people realize that they might have crossed the line, when it's no longer fun (and Sasshi realized that she doesn't need that).

I'm not really following =LOVE but it's delightful to hear all Sasshi's thinking process to write the lyrics and that she incorporated some things of H!P she likes so much (like the "Kimi to boku ga unmei nante" line that uses the same melody as the chorus but doesn't use repeated words and is sang by the center).

Jounetsu Tairiku coming? (Sasshi was humming its theme)
