Yamaguchi-ken: must bucket-list visit one day, and see for myself why three of my all-time fave 48G idols call it home*... Murashige is an outlier for me, tho... must be the Russian content... -- * @May48: I've always wondered if Miu-chan's and Yumirin's lineages came from the Hiroshima-side of Yamaguchi, because they don't look at all "Fukuokan". Hinapiyo does have a dash of it, but looking at her eyes compared to Ayumin or Okada Kanna... they resemble Miu's and Yumirin's more... so perhaps her looks are due to a mixture of lineages only recently (within the last 100 years) able to meet and snog... While in high school I learned from relatives in Japan that it isn't uncommon to have lineages one valley apart in Honshu, look so different because of geographical isolation... and their dialects become so different that they couldn't understand each other even if they did meet. By the Heian Era inter-country travel was possible, but it wasn't rare at all for some mountainous village communities to not have seen anyone but woodcutters from close neighboring areas, for hundreds of years. If you look at both Yumirin's and Miu's SRs back to back... you'll see they share some gestures and vocal traits with each other, yet they have no other connection to each other than they both come from Yamaguchi and its culture and school system. Super interesting (at least to me ).
