With around 500 girls and only 5 votes you must have a reason to downvote one of the girls, and I don't think disliking a member is reason enough, if so I wouldn't have downvoted Owada since at the very least I cared enough about her to be affected by the 15th gen drama. I guess i'm a weird dude, if i'm still here by the next year i won't use it.

    Anyway,
My rank (with explanations where I feel like it)
    01. Miyazawa Sae (71)
    02. Goto Rara (66)
I'm not surprised she dropped a bit given that the initial hype among foreign fans has died down and SKE in general doesn't have as much interest as it did around the time of the 7th gen debut. She's the type of idol I like, she's so conscientious and intense for a kid but still has her adorable and fragile-hearted side. It's not surprising why SKE's management chose to favour her, as being able to handle the rigorous training seems to hold a lot of weight in their evaluation of members. Members have commented on how she studies a lot while out on jobs and what a good kid she is. If I ever get back into 48g to the extent that I was a year ago, it will be for her sake. But I'm not sure, I have more responsibilities now, I just happen to have 2 weeks of freedom before I go back to school again why I can write essays on idol forums lol.
Anyway, all who have an interest in Lala, if you're not already please follow her on instagram! She makes a lesson everyday teaching simple English phrases, but tbh English speakers can benefit from as well because you'll actually learn the Japanese equivalent to the phrases lmao.

    03. Tano Ayaka (182)
She's my NGT favourite. Honestly she's just my type; laid back and goofy kind of personality, life-ruiningly cute smile. I'm glad she made the first NGT senbatsu, but I dunno how secure her spot is /cries. I don't have a lot to say because she is one of the members I rank really highly because I'm just inexplicably drawn to her, she makes me really happy. She's what you call a "bias-ruiner".

    04. Kitagawa Ryoha (42)
    05. Wakatsuki Yumi (133)
    06. Takeuchi Mai (161)
    07. Kawamoto Saya (86)
    08. Kashiwagi Yuki (8)

    09. Okada Nana (1)
My first time voting for her. It was the haircut, ok? Lol, but on a serious note, up until she entered senbatsu and finally grew into her distinct image and personality last year, I mostly saw her as a variety member who was popular on stage48, unsurprisingly as many variety members are disproportionately popular here (since the forum's membership broadly consists of people whose main context of knowing the members is through AKBINGO as opposed to radio, magazines, normal variety shows, dramas, etc) Obviously I knew she had a great voice and killed it in stage performances, Kizaki 4 was one of the teams I really loved to watch along with S and KII back when I actually watched theater shows. But it never really went beyond that, I never really cared about the "majime" thing, and the "3 musketeers" don't have sentimental value to me since I wasn't a fan during the minegishi 4 days..
But for me, this Naachan era feels right. She's one of the few senbatsu staples who aren't from the ancient era that genuinely intrigue me and feel real, relatable and inspiring. This first place position is well-earned. But please make your hair black again, sweetie TT

    10. Tano Yuka (22)
    11. Takayama Kazumi (81)
    12. Tsuzuki Rika (174)
    13. Nakamura Ayuka (297)
    14. Murayama Yuiri (12)
    15. Suenaga Oka (318)
    16. Ichino Narumi (282)
    17. Miyamae Ami (244)

    18. Matsui Jurina (55)
She's dropped a lot in my personal ranking. She used to be my 2oshi!! I don't sense her connecting very well anymore with the people she works with regularly and it's a turn-off for me. Obviously being a 1st gen plays a role in this, but she really should have taken more of a step back and played more of a senpai role in her group, but being pushed as the "ace" still (pls, it's so stale), this obviously hasn't happened. Still will always like her as an idol though.

    19. Miyawaki Sakura (5)
First time ranking her as well. Her instagram was a new development for 2016 and it honestly made me her fan, I love her style so much. I've always liked her looks, the combination of baby-face and stunning body is killer. Basically that's what I like about Sakura. I gave her this spot based on her aesthetic. I don't watch variety or theater stages anymore so my 2016 ranking has brought me to this, lol.

    20. Azuma Rion (268)
She was actually my favourite handshake experience (after my oshi) when I met her last year and she's so talented as a singer and musician. Just goes to show how not everyone puts that much weight on stuff like handshake, to me the typical otaku stuff isn't as interesting I guess. Tbh, I should've ranked her much higher, but at the time when I made my list I felt really salty about her graduation when she came to mind.

While I'm not surprised that Keyaki got such huge growth as they went from barely having any activity at the time of the ranking last year to becoming a sensation and generating a ton of genuine interest as an idol group, I think their popularity in proportion to the other groups is still kind of surprising. Tbh, to me it more reflects how much the regular 48 groups are in a slump right now, as we all are aware. AKB's young members have always been kind of invisible to anyone who isn't a huge fan, NMB is mostly about Sayaka, HKT has been on a plateau since forever and never really had anything that could be described a popularity peak, and I don't think hardly anyone even remembers SKE is a thing anymore, there has never been a more erratic sister group. Eventually people lose steam.

The 48 section even seems slower than usual, I took a quick glance at old singles threads (and got nostalgic from all the old, dumb drama) and there's a lot less hype among the fandom, from Kibouteki Refrain to Kimi wa Melody most single threads hit >100 pages, management did a ton in that time to try and make happenings and spark drama. Along with the inevitability of popular members graduating, I think a lot of fans got burned out from the wild decisions and lost incentive to stick around.

I did SKE's ranking so @ithebigc (or any moderator) can copy paste it in the 3rd post. Last ranking took 1 year to make the groups and teams ranks lol (btw, thanks @kanjo)

Anyway, I used kanjo's format to rank the girls in SKE but with some small changes here and there. I also added the members from team S, KII and E which didn't receive votes (I didn't add the kks cuz they were way too many).
I didn't add in the inner team ranking and group ranking but if someone wants to, please feel free to add it.
    The format is:
Team rank. Rank. (previous rank)[# of +voters|# of -voters] Name {+vote total,-vote total} total score (group rank)

    Team S
Team KII Team E KKS Graduated

The whole SKE48 group (in bold is the group rank and has no team rank):
    1. 37. (25) [21|1] Takayanagi Akane {+117,-3}, 114
    2. 42. (47) [20|0] Kitagawa Ryoha {+108,0}, 108

I'm happy to see Naachan won but i have to say that i'm also surprised by how many negative votes she got.
I understand if people don't have her as their oshimen but -44 votes, wow

Anyway, i was too late to join the poll this year but i'll for sure keep an eye on it next year :)

Thanks for a good laugh though ;)
I would say, that Jurina already looked 18 when she was 12 or around. Go figure. On the other hand, Rika is looking quite natural for her age, maybe I'm shifting an age bar high...

    20. (---,---,---) (+1) 345. (337) [2|0] Hongou Yuzuha {+4,0}, 4
    No negatives

Fuuko 48th overall  I'm surprised myself with Mirurun - she has "skipped" last year, but was present in two previous votes. Oh memory. Nanase on a falling slope, Miku likewise. Nagisa is an interesting case - goes steadily in the other direction.

Seven places have new girls, so who has dropped out:
    04. Yamagishi Natsumi (+8)
    05. Okada Nana (+7) suspended
    06. Yokomichi Yuri (+6) suspended for almost whole last year, still has to rebuild trust
    09. Takano Yui (+4)
    12. Ju Jingyi (+3)
    16. Chen Si (+2)

    19. Murayama Yuiri (+1) a curious cookie: I have nothing against her, but she might have been hit by how salty I am about Nana, as I have almost avoided content with them both. Something along the line: "she took Naachan away from me!!!" :cold: *finger pointed*

Next year are going to drop out:
    03. Watanabe Miyuki (+9)
    09. Kadowaki Kanako (+4)
    11. Nishimura Aika (+4)
    16. Matsuoka Chiho (+2)
So four places are free to be taken at no cost to any girl.

    2013
    Code:
    AKB48: 15 + 10 + 5 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 5 - 3 = 32
    SNH48: 7 + 6 + 4 + 3 = 20
    NMB48: 9 + 4 + 4 + 2 = 19
    NGZ46: 8 + 5 + 3 - 4 = 12
    HKT48: -2
    2014
    Code:
    AKB48: 15 + 9 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 41
    NMB48: 8 + 5 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 19
    NGZ46: 10 + 5 + 2 + 1 - 5 = 13
    SNH48: 6 + 4 = 10
    HKT48: 7
    2015
    Code:
    NMB48: 10 + 9 + 8 + 4 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 38
    AKB48: 15 + 8 + 6 + 3 + 3 + 1 = 36
    NGZ46 5 + 4 = 9
    SKE48: 5 + 1 = 6
    SNH48: 3 + 2 = 5
    HKT48: 2
    2016
    Code:
    NMB48: 10 + 9 + 8 + 5 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 53
    AKB48: 15 + 7 + 3 + 2 = 27
    NGZ46: 6 + 2 = 8
    SKE48: 5 + 1 = 6
    HKT48: 1
In this year it was the first time for me that any group has surpassed 50 points; on the other hand, AKB48 dropped below 30 with a clear tendency downwards.
When Ascension will happen, AKB48 will likely fall below 20 points.

Just for fun, I tried to figure out if I was a front runner (voting only for popular members). The average placement for my 20 picks was 74.5, with a high of 6 and a low of 364. A bit of a front runner, but not too bad.

Naachan first :1st: I could honestly only think of the following reasons as to why people might downvote her:
    1) Considering that Mayuyu and Naachan were tied last year, users were probably trying to pull Naachan down
    2) Out of pure saltiness that her position is better than their oshi
In the year of 2016, it was her year and nothing bad (eg: any type of scandal) happened. She is loved by fans and members. She also has great leadership.

I thought that I wasn't going to write anything about my ranking. Just post my ranking, that was what I thought. But I think why not, let me write something. Just not quite related to the rank they got in the whole event, just why I ranked them as such.

    01. Yamamoto Sayaka(+15)
Sayanee easily took the number one spot. And reasonably so. Her album was super great. I enjoyed it very much. It was nice to read reports on her successful solo tour. Her performing on TV and collaborating with other artist (with Fujiwara Sakura and chay <3). I'm not very keen in having to find that special one as an oshi and before I had Haruppi, Jurina and Sayanee as top 3 and couldn't decide between the three. But 2016 is the year that I realized Sayanee has surpassed Haruppi and Jurina and that perhaps she could be that special one. Perhaps this year I will finally make her my first-oshi, but seeing her solo career is going ao great, I guess it won't be long to see her beside Acchan on the list in my sig (eternal oshi).
    02. Hirate Yurina (+10)
Techi had a superb year in 2016. She was simply... superb. She did so great as a center. The first half of 2016, I wasn't so much into Keyaki, mainly because I wasn't 100% absolutely loving SaiMajo, but then came the media performances. I watched the first live and it was great! Then I wasn't so much into SekaAi, but when Futari Saison came, I got so pulled in. Futari Saison is <3. I loved the MV so much and loved the Techi portrayed in the MV. For me, Techi was both "took a little time" and "in no time" became right up there with Sayanee, Jurina, Haruppi and then Hiwatan. The One-Man Live Keyaki had had done a great deal to multiply my liking for her, as well as the Toki wa Kakeru Shoujo 2 performances.
    03. Hiwatashi Yui (+9)
Last year I had Hiwatan as my first she had a great 2015 year. 2016 wasn't bad at all for her. Hiwatan is still my AKB oshi. Sayanee might be the potential to be my ultimate oshi after Acchan, but Hiwatan is still my AKB oshi. As I'm just another international fan who doesn't financially invest in the 48G income and I don't know Japanese and only frequent this forum to get my fix of 48Group, so I don't know everything that was going on with Hiwatan. But nonetheless, I still like Hiwatan and she is still my AKB oshi.
    04. Matsui Jurina (+8)
hmm... I think someone have said that everytime s/he see Jurina (or other member) he was just instantly reminded of how awesome Jurina was. It's the same case for me too, I guess. Sometimes I would think... why do I like Jurina? Hasn't she become kinda dull lately and nothing exciting for her has been going on? She did say she is staying for another 5 years. SKE48 releases are groundbreaking either. But then whenever I see her perform, she simply caught my eye. Her performance is still great to see. But tbh, she might be dropping somewhat next year.
    05. Kodama Haruka (+7)
Similarly like Jurina. Since she got her center status back and a good while after ranking high in ssk (SENBATSU! And not barely so), she has gotten a bit dull to me too. But nonetheless, whenever I see her perform, I get mesmerized by her. For next year (2017 s48 ranking), I don't know... Perhaps she is going to stall? I don't think Haruppi is going to fall off, but unless there is something big, she will stall in my ranking.
    06. Nagahama Neru (+6)
Neru, Neru, Neru! For a good portion of 2016, I've liked her so very much. Neru is just adorable and great in so many ways. Please visit her thread and read her updates. Ukifune and others has done great in me liking Neru more and more. Though Neru might not be exceptionally great in performing and I don't quite find her special appeal in her performance like others seem to talk about (like expressions, singing and etc), but there are several performances of hers that I really liked. First it was the Noriokureta Bus in the first live. Seeing the live the first time, I remember thinking that it was a nice one and I was captivated. Even way before the Noriokureta Bus, the way Techi and Neru interacted with each other backstage, that was really touching. I'm sad that they don't quite seem to be showing their intimacy towards each other lately. Then Neru's center in the 46G's Nogi 3rd gen and HiraKeyaki joint intro performance in the Seifuku no Mannequin in last year Idol Festival. That was some great intensity she showed. (I'm not talking about her powerful kick btw). Then her solo song in the one-man live. Beautiful. The MV was beautiful too and I really liked the concept with mini animated Neru. All in all, I liked Neru lots, but I don't think she'd surpass any of my top 5. Oh, her Toki wa Kakeru Shoujo solo line was really nice too. She did great methink.
    07. Okada Nana (+5)
I had sorta liked Naachan from, at least late 2014. She was pretty and all. Then... for 2015, I thought... did I really liked her that much? Did I really thought she was pretty? Her nose is kinda big too... And she is a bit too majime and sorta dull. So I didn't vote for her. But in 2016, she had adopted a completely different look. At first, I was "mmmm...'kay, I guess" and then as times pass by, wow Naachan is really great no. So I sorta gave her a chance. Here is my chance for her and the result of the chance. Both. She fot 14th in last ssk right? At least I get to give her wish being 7th, in this ranking.
    08. Yamada Noe (+5)
Noepii... ummm... well yeah she is loud. At the beginning of 2016, she really made me like her so much. Her antics at Sashikita. Her loud voice kinda pulled me in. Not because it's noisy, if she was quieter, her voice is really nice to listen to. The sorta hoarse quality of it. I was a bit out of touch in the middle of 2016 and by the time the 100th show stage, wow she has gotten beautiful!! There was a running joke that she looks like Mio, but when i watched the 100th show and NGT anniversary show, rather than looking like Mio, Noepii looked like Meru. Does anyone not see that??!! Maybe it could be her hairstyle, but then again the only thing I thought Noepii was similar to Mio was that when they smile, they looked really similar, but other than that, I don't think they do.
    09. Abe Maria (+4)
Abemaru has just got to rank in my ranking. Really. I think that Abemaru is great. She had great visuals. She has great body. She dances well and so captivating at time. I don't know much about her. But her looks can adapt exceptionally beautifully. Sometimes I would think that dances really well. So captivating. Her body has great proportion. But some other (comparatively less) times, she kinda... danced boredly and didn't give much effort. I'm still wondering what kind of idol is she and what is her character, but overall, I still like her so much so, so here she is within my top 10.
    10. Shiroma Miru (+4)
Nothing much to say really, but she is great and I've grown to like her in 2016.
    11. Yamamoto Ayaka (+4)
Aayan was super great in 2016. Her centering Boku wa Inai was superb. Her performance in Boku ga Igai was superb too. She took me by storm. Aayan is really great. She is only at 11th because she was rather new, but she was good enough to take over Moekyun and others. I wish for Aayan to rank this ssk so her push can continue and she can perform more cool songs. Though tbh, prior to her promotion, I paid no heed to her. I was more liking Suzu and Mirai for NMB's 6th gens.
    12. Goto Moe (+3)
Moekyun was 7th last year. And as I have said, I'm just an international fan who does not invest money jn 48G income nor effort in learning japanese, so I don't know much about her progress in the group. I would like for Moekyun to go back to K. I loved her in K. I really loved Moekyun and Hinana's performance of Wagamama no Nagareboshi in K's concert part of national tour. I believe Moekyun is doing fairly good right now and even though I'm bit out of touch, I'm still liking Moekyun.
    13. Kubo Satone (+3)
Satopii has really gone from Moekyun look-alike to a really adorable kid. I happen to stumble upon her SR video and she was so adorable. Her mannerism was sorta childish. She was cute! Cute and pretty. I was really she was part of the Osaekirenai Shoudou lineup.
    14. Nomura Nao (+3)
At first, I loved Nomunee much more than Satopii. Nomunee is really beautiful. Her performance, albeit a little stiff, was great too. They should really give her a slight push. I believe she can do well as a pretty backrow senbatsu member, a Renacchi or Annin sort of spot in senbatsu, but less so. Not now, but perhaps in a year or two. Of course it'd be great if she can be much more. But first, promote her already and the rest of D2, already!!!
    15. Nakamura Ayuka (+2)
Much more than Tsugumin, Ayakani and some other NGT girls I liked, I like Ayutarou much better. Why didn't they promote her to N, I have no idea. Ayutarou is really, really fun. She is pretty too. Not exceptionally ala Maiyan, [insert other beautiful members names here], Mahohon, or even Nomunee, but she has her own look. I think she looks pretty. She is well spoken too.
    16. Suzumoto Miyu (+2)
Suzumon..m I really liked her first look. She look pretty. I'd be fine even if she has a mean stepmother character, I'd even like it. Her first look, I loved it. I loved her forehead. I loved her SaiMajo positioning. I loved the top 3 SaiMajo girls. Then her character was so different than I expected. I don't mind it much, but I don't think she'd rise in my ranking next year (2016 s48 ranking). Her reactions are amusingly hilarious, but her character didn't really make me like her. I don't even get how she can/get to say that the MCs didn't know her. Her tone was monotonous when she said that and I don't get how they spinned it off to be more comical. I just don't understand it. You can say I liked her for what i thought and hoped she was going to be like.
    17. Sato Anju (+2)
Anju was my very first pick as NGT's 1st gen oshi. Anju is really great. Her performance with Yukirin is really, really nice. Anju is a great singer and she did show it in Sashikita.
    18. Michelle Christo Kusnadi (+1)
in 2016, I wasn't so much into JKT48. Michelle was that link that sorta kept me from going to be totally away from JKT48 fandom. But, I saw her instagram updates and thought, Michelle is very pretty no. Michelle didn't rise in this year ssk. I hope she will get more Japan-related jobs (like her cameo in Majisuka). I hope she does better in next ssk.
    19. Fukuoka Seina (+1)
When I first saw Seichan (it was that AKBingo episode where she wore sorta gothic costume) and thought, wow she is really pretty! And looked like Andela. Then Naachan's sister came, and wow, they looked alike! Anyway, I'm starting to really like Seichan, especially after she got to center UFO-themed UG song.
    20. Furuhata Nao (+1)
Nao, nao, nao. I was deliberating between her and Kanochan. I really like both!!! But I thought, I have liked Nao much longer. Kanochan will have a chance next year. They should push Kanochan more, like Yunana. As for Nao... I really hope she does better this ssk so mgmt can give her nicer positions.

    Honorable mention:
    1. Ijiri Anna
    2. Nojima Kano
    3. Rona Anggreany
    4. Viviyona Apriani
    5. Miyazawa Sae
    6. Ikuta Erika

    3. Ayana Shahab

    7. Kai Kokoa
    8. Ushio Sarina
    9. Habu Mizuho (and/or) Uemura Rina
    10. Tanaka Miku

Tsugumin and Ayen are definitely in my ranking next year.

Still wish I could participate last year. If I'm here next year, would love to do it again.
Because that's the only reason I'm here. To have fun and release my everyday stress.

No detailed explanation for me, just love these girls, I was just having fun. That's it . . . :^O^:
At least for just a few days I was able to roam around the 48 groups, found some good music I missed and also went back to listening those old classic AKB songs I still love. Ah this old feeling of . . .ehem, forget it !!!
Sayanee is one of the spark that opened the door for me to this fandom. Most probably she's still eligible next year, I'll be more than glad to give her a vote again. I would have given her my vote last year, but anyway . . .:^^;:
Congrats to the Okada Nana (i really don't know anything about her) With that margin of votes a very well deserved 1st place finish.

I'm still not following Keyakizaka46 that much except for that one cute girl. Be back at full health Zuumin (ah why this always happen to my fav girls, first Hime now Yui:fp:)
I'm mostly Nogizaka46 fan for a while now (obvious with the way I voted). So as long as Erika-sama is the Queen among Nogi's ojou-san, there's nothing more I need. Gonna follow 3rd Gen growth because I just love them, specially my own trio of Kubo-Rentan-Yoda.
Well that's a wrap. I enjoyed it, hope the rest did as well, even more if not as much.:v:
    Love to all <3 <3 <3 :p

It was a fun game. Yurina, ikuchan, sayanee, and sakura whom I voted got the honor of top ten.
I can understand sakura's hate but not the remaining 3, they don't do anything wrong lol. But that's okay.
I gave yurina +15, this girl is the biggest thing in 2016
+8 was for sayanee because of her immense talent, quoting from other forum (OH, asianjunkie) "the only 48 girl that matters".
Also ikuchan because IMO is now japan's finest beauty and also a talent monster and sakura since she's my second AKB48 fave after paruru and didn't dissapoint in 2016.
Well the game was fun, and surprisingly I only gave negative to one member which means 48/46 members are doing great last year.
Really looking forward for next years event

    01. OKADA NANA (+15) : no need to talk alot about my kamioshimen. Actually, there were time that i don't like her because of her hair. The Beautiful girl turn to become a true tomboy that made me shock and don't feel easy because of her decision. But time passing by, i'm okay with it. Now she looks very cool and beautiful in the same time.
    02. KOBAYASHI YUI (+10) : Most breakout girl . Instantly capture my heart to become no.2 . She holds the power to become something big!
    03. ITO MARIKA (+9) : Please notice this girl
    04. SUGAI YUUKA (+8)
    05. MIYAWAKI SAKURA (+7)
    06. MURAYAMA YUIRI(+6)

    11. HORI MIONA (+4)
    12. SHIRAISHI MAI (+3)
    13. YAMAMOTO SAYAKA (+3) : Actually, i have no idea about this (+3) slot. I put Sayanee's name on it. Cause i think she did very well last year , she made 48 group better to me since i've lost lot of my interest in 48.
    14. TAKAYAMA KAZUMI (+3)
    15. TERADA RANZE (+2) : Pure cute !
    16. INOUE SAYURI (+2) : Beautiful!
    17. WATANABE RISA (+2) : Beautiful!
    18. ODA ERINA (+1)
    19. NAGAHAMA NERU (+1) : Nice fisher ! i'm hooked
    20. TANIGUCHI MEGU (+1)

I prefer talking about hate section than favorite lol:

    01. OWADA NANA (-5 ) : Do you need to explain . Actually, i don't like her at first, i think she doesn't try hard enough . Now Komi, Megu, Miion has passed her and took her place that she was.
    02. TOMONAGA MIO (-4) : Talentless, lazy worker on the scene to me, not working hard enough on the performance. I wonder why she could pass HKT48 audition
    03. SASHIHARA RINO (-3)
    04. WATANABE RIKA (-2) : Overrated , i think she's the weakest performer in keyakizaka, Her face isn't so special and her talent too. In addition, her shy personality is just made up, just what she wanna show to the audience.
    05. MATSUMURA SAYURI (-1)

Well done to the admin for another successful year of holding this ranking. I enjoy it very much.

The highlight for me is to see the big jumps of Ashurin and Yuiri, even hope somehow they manage to break into Top 10 but it was not meant to be. I am happy enough with their current rank. As for Naachan winning is a big yeayyy but afraid she'll be further down my ranking yet again as I am not feeling much for her, I wonder why. Other than that sad to see lots of AKB girls not holding much to their ranking previously. Yukirin continue to be in Top 10 is just love. Also, Kojimakoooooooo Top 10 weehoo!!! And that's it.

For next year, gonna definitely add some 3rd gen Nogi, Master Yoda and Kubochan hehe also maybe Satone, Katorena and some AKB girls I overlooked. Looking forward to next year!
