she had only a few performances last year (the only good thing about Rissen's graduation is that I could see her perform and not just on the side for a few sec) and got a few jobs. She did well again at the singing contest. This year she'll have a lot more activity I hope!

she shines on the stage. how could they put her in BII:fp:

her only flaw is she can't sing. future oshimen! (pls don't get kicked out early) P.S.

Just like that, 5 of my top 20 and 3 of my down votes all appeared from 51 to 100.
    01.
    02.
    03.
    04.
    05. 192. (249) [2|0] [MNL] Althea Itona{+8,0}, 8
    06. 115. (79) [6|0] [SKE] Takayanagi Akane{+19,0}, 19
    07. 59. (30) [5|0] [HKT] Murashige Anna{+33,0}, 33
I guess I just didn't really change my list that much for the past years, lol. I guess I've just always found her interesting and never really thought of removing her from my list.
    08. 64. (156) [5|0] [AKB] Nagano Serika{+31,0}, 31
One of the first AKB48 member I saw in real life. She definitely stood out.
    09.
    10.
    11.
    12.
    13. 237. (328) [2|0] [MNL] Marsela Mari Guia{+5,0}, 5
    14. 52. (63) [10|0] [AKB] Ma Chia-Ling{+34,0}, 34
The moments I remember of her in AKBingo and other stuff made an impression on me.
    15. 59. (46) [9|0] [AKB] Iwatate Saho{+33,0}, 33
Loved her in Produce 48 years ago and noticed her ever since.
    16. 93. (99) [6|0] [AKB] Oya Shizuka{+23,0}, 23
Always wished the best for her ever since she was featured for having no one lining up for her in a handshake event. I'm glad that through the years, she established her significance to the group and made her mark.
    17. 296. (348) [1|0] [SKE] Saito Makiko {+2,0}, 2
    18. 296. (166) [2|0] [HKT] Matsuoka Natsumi{+2,0}, 2
    19. 115. (128) [4|0] [SKE] Igarashi Hayaka{+19,0}, 19
    20. 115. (180) [5|0] [HKT] Yamashita Emiri{+19,0}, 19

    Down Votes:
    01. 99. (17) [6|5] [IZN] Miyawaki Sakura{+47,-25}, 22
Well of course I've been voting her down ever since after the 2018 election where stuff got overblown. But this year, more than ever, voting her down is definitely justified as she had clearly shown how much she cared for 48G.
    02. 52. (14) [6|1] [AKB] Minegishi Minami{+38,-4}, 34
Ever since that incident, every moment she stayed in the group was leeching. I don't care for the love ban but to be so calculating as to have her action put the management and fans in a situation wherein asking her to leave can't be an option that led to negative coverage of AKB globally? Heck no. Glad the leech is gone. Glad my downvote blocked her from the top 50.
    03.
    04.
    05. 63. (4) [7|1] [N46] Hori Miona{+33,-1}, 32
Coz she looks like the snake who abandoned 48G? lol, no. Honestly, just purely strategic move against Nogi's chances for top 3. How was I to know she wouldn't be in the running for top 3 this year? lol.

    ***

Yes, I acknowledge that my reasons can be questioned and argued against. That's fair. But hey, the downvotes has been used for various reasons through the years including factually debunkable reasons, so what the heck :)

    [13.|+03] - tba
    [14.|+03] - 64. (74) [6|1] [AKB] Gyoten Yurina {+34,-3}, 31
    [15.|+02] - 70. (30) [8|0] [N46] Kitano Hinako {+30,0}, 30
    [16.|+02] - 192. (328) [3|0] [NMB] Sadano Haruka{+8,0}, 8
    [17.|+02] - 115. (79) [6|0] [SKE] Takayanagi Akane{+19,0}, 19
    [18.|+01] - tba
    [19.|+01] - 80. (126) [4|0] [NMB] Shibuya Nagisa {+25,0}, 25
    [20.|+01] - 124. (78) [7|0] [N46] Seimiya Rei{+17,0}, 17

°Shibuya Nagisa - Cute, smart and a leader +a professional who puts her group first. Also her smile is so enlightening
°Kitano Hinako - Grew on me by the last months of 2021. Her smile with that what I want to call "country-side beauty" (can't tell u why:^^;:) and her positive playful character just made me fall for her immediately<3
°Gyoten Yurina - GOSH what a beauty! That mold in her right eye, I just have a soft spot for such unique features:fear: (e.g. Sadanos mold in her right eye - Shimizu Riko from NijiCon has the same but in her left eye) I'm happy for her winning the Showroom Award. She may not be in senbatsu or one of the top members by now, but I hope winning this award gives her more spotlight in the future.
°Umezawa Minami - The first of yesterday I thought would rank higher. Beautiful, elegant, cool, easy going and, what nobody doubts - a leader. She'll be doing great as Nogizakas captain. Looking forward to UmeNogi46 <3
°Saito Kyoko - And the second one. Small but a powerhouse who knows what she wants. Her beauty, her personality, her singing -which is SO good- are points I just can't withstand..:inlove: Her duo with HICCOROHEE is fun to watch (tho I barely did because I haven't found a site with eng sub to watch it yet. Btw am I the only one who thinks they come across a bit like mother and daughter?:^^;:) I hope there'll be more Kyoko releases in 2022, either with Hinatazaka or solo debut, she deserves the spotlight <3

Maybe I'll write an explanation later for ones I left out
°99. (55) [7|0] [STU] Ishida Chiho {+22,0}, 22 - My STU48 oshi, glad she has 7 voters and no negative points. Her center song was BEAUTIFUL, sadly it was followed by her hiatus. I hope 2022 will be a big year for Chiho
°93. (145-) [3|0] [AKB] Kawahara Misaki {+23,0}, 23 - In the last week of '21 I watched a showroom of her followed by a compilation of her singing in last three No.1SCs, and I was positively surprised! Her face, character+voice and singing started to appeal to me and she's now steadily growing on me. Maybe she'll enter my Top20 next year.
°80. (156) [6|0] [AKB] Tokunaga Remi {+25,0}, 25 - 15 year old c'eauty who sounds like 20+. Like with Kawahara I started to watch a few showrooms in the end of '21. Will keep an on her
°70. (79) [9|0] [S46] Matsuda Rina {+30,0}, 30 - If not for Takayanagi and my fifth place, she would have entered as my number 20 (currently 22). Tho maybe even higher. Haven't watched a single episode of Sakurazakas variety show by now, but from the view clips and the pictures I saw, she'll be my S46 oshimen. Her appearance, her character, the voice AND THAT SMILE WITH THE CRINKLE. So much on her I already LOVE. She WILL be in my next Top20 Top10.

I'd like to ask for everyone's indulgence for a moment to conduct a thought experiment. Clear your minds and think about one stage48 member stalking the votes of another forum member from previous year and neg-voting the other members choices out of petty spite and malice. Just how pathetic would you need to be to do that?

    02. 164. (104) [2|0] [AKB] Hattori Yuna {+11,0}, 11 (+10)
    03. 64. (74) [6|1] [AKB] Gyoten Yurina {+34,-3}, 31 (+9) - After many disappointments from game/SR events, she finally won the prize! (3rd place but still good), then she got many chances with gravures and stage plays, so overall it had been a good year for her. Her SR is good as always.:approve:
    04. 64. (156) [5|0] [AKB] Nagano Serika {+31,0}, 31 (+8) - My favourite of Kansai eito (at least until shin-wakayama is announced ), had some appearances in Mahjong related show and did well, got some local jobs about promoting blood donation (+ wakayama job succeeding Ruka). Hoping she still get these chances in this year.
    ...
    06. 52. (166) [6|0] [AKB] Hashimoto Haruna {+34,0}, 34 (+6) - Glad to see our cute pyon did well with Dobon events (thanks to her fans, ofc) and seemed like she has got more recognized.:approve:
    ...
    09. 237. (249) [2|0] [AKB] Shimizu Maria {+5,0}, 5 (+4)
    10. (145) [3|0] [AKB] Okumoto Hinano {+25,0}, 25 (+4) - Other than SR and singing contest, she didn't seem to have many activities last year. It's shame because she really looks promising in singing contest (and yabai in SR). Hoping this year will be better, can't wait for her debut in Team K stage... oh wait! (joking aside, I think she's gonna do well with new Team K:chuffed:)
    11. (99) [6|0] [AKB] Sakaguchi Nagisa {+29,0}, 29 (+4) - Kawaii!, that's all I've got to say.
    12. 276. (328) [1|0] [STU] Shimizu Sara {+3,0}, 3 (+3)
    13. 276. (180) [1|0] [HKT] Sakamoto Erena {+3,0}, 3 (+3)
    14. 174. (166) [3|0] [AKB] Yamada Kyoka {+10,0}, 10 (+3)
    ...
    16. (156) [6|0] [AKB] Tokunaga Remi {+25,0}, 25 (+2) - My favorite of (remaining) new eito, kawaii and too precious, hope to see her stage debut with Team 8 and Team B this year.
    17. 206. (192) [2|0] [STU] Mineyoshi Arisa {+7,0}, 7 (+2)
    18. 276. (286) [2|0] [SKE] Hirano Momona {+3,0}, 3 (+1)
    19. 321. (---) [1|0] [NGT] Nara Miharu {+1,0}, 1 (+1)

    You're welcome!

    Or maybe not.

I knew it! It's just the reasoning though, which makes me wonder who was actually in the wrong for that 2018 stuff (I believe it's the one not named Sakura).

Miichan had a good year, she had the graduation concert she deserved with an 'golden hour' sharing the spotlight with all but one of the last remaining 6 1st gens who were there at the first Tokyo Dome concert and with a Minegishi Team 4 reunion, SONE reunion and so many more ex-members.
She directed two well received =LOVE videos, appeared in The Masked Singer as Neon Panda and landed a stage role and appeared in a multitude of TV programs.
To be honest ... the fact that some people are still butt hurt over something that happened 8 years ago .... ignore how she coached many of the current top member ... meh, juvenile

    02. 93. (99) [6|0] [AKB] Oya Shizuka {+23,0}, 23
Sadly she wasn't really able to monopolise on her 'rescue the pond' tv appearances, she was very active on YouTube though, but I guess I'm just not the target audience for dieting videos

I always liked how hard she tried to be funny ... and not really succeeded imho, collaboration with Mikichan were fun though
    13. 87. (61) [6|0] [AKB] Nakanishi Chiyori {+24,0}, 24
I guess Chori must be getting kinda lonely, as even though she is an HKT transfer, she still kinda is a of the same generation as Annin and Rennachi

    1. 99. (17) [6|5] [IZN] Miyawaki Sakura {+47,-25}, 22
I downvoted Sakura last year, and I had my reasons for it, I also predicted she would never return fully to HKT/AKB, turns out I was right.
Good luck to her in Korea, it will most likely suite her, but K-Pop is not my thing, and neither is Sakura.
I'm in a way glad she didn't return to be the face (or saviour) of AKB, because an AKB build around Sakura is not the AKB I would like (did I mention how much I loathe 'Kimi wa Melody' ... but tbh that's on management)
Ow, btw ... she got mostly downvoted as she did almost nothing AKB/HKT related last year .... and come to think of it I can think of another member who this applies to as well.

Not bad, not bad.. only 1 down voter? She had came a looong way from being one of the token downvoted members for years having minus 40 to 60pts. Downside, from 12 positive voters last year to 6. Understandable, considering she graduated early last year.
Aside from the only needed reason to vote for her: being my kami-oshi; even after graduating, she has continued her graciousness toward 48G members, whether current or former, regardless whether more popular than her or not. On her SNS, she congratulates way more popular members and also encourages young members. For her graduation concert and last theater performance, she took the opportunity to let the younger gens shine with solo performances, etc., promoting SKE's future. Her love for 48G, specially SKE, cannot be questioned.

Honestly, I think I put her too high since I didn't follow STU that much last year. I didn't really review my list thoroughly. No regrets though, she's one of the few ori management-chosen aces I like right away. Watching STU PVs with her as center never disappoints. I know AKB purists would like it for all AKB singles to be AKB only but I surely would miss sister group members like Takino in AKB PVs.

I was very happy for her push in the early days. I hated how she didn't get much support from fans. I'm just happy she has a lot to show for her idol years. I will always be thankful to her for Madonna no sentaku. May she find happiness and success in her post-idol life.

I was beginning to think something went wrong in the vote tally that Fuuchan hadn't shown up yet; I am shocked she has so much support this year amongst the voters. Otoh maybe not so shocking that I would go with Saito Fuyuka as my #1 for 2021. She is still in essentially the same spot she's always been in with the group, but I still love seeing her on variety, her dance videos, in performances (even if usually you need to look pretty hard to find her), and even some good photoshoots last year. *AND* I got to talk with her again after more than 3 years of waiting, which was as fun as I had cautiously hoped it would be

My Nogi oshi Akimoto Manatsu had an emotional year saying goodbye to other top members, but at least I think she's figured our their chant by now [hehe] I love so much about her, and everything she's done for the group. 2021 may well be her last full year with Nogi so I tried to enjoy her appearances, and I appreciate her focus as captain in setting them up for the future.

Shiroma Miru's graduation seemed to come at a natural time, and I have a ton of respect for her. Even if I wouldn't say she's one of my top favs in NMB, I guess nostalgia around her leaving bumped her up quite a few places. Still need to finish translating her song...

4 members from my list today!

    48. (33) [9|1] [AKB] Kato Rena {+39,-3}, 36
I ranked her at #8 and gave her 5 points! I would have ranked her higher if not for the fact that she announced graduation (not that I'm against it, it's the right moment for her, but this year, I wanted to focus a bit more on members who aren't graduated/graduating). I always liked her since her early years and I still like her now, I like her even more because she didn't give up on AKB when her push completely stopped and stayed a few more years, it shows that she enjoyed being an idol. and also she's still one of the prettiest members for me. <3

    41. (68) [12|1] [NMB] Umeyama Cocona {+45,-4}, 41
    I ranked her at #12 and gave her 3 points. Of course at that time, I had no idea that she would announce her graduation ._. I started to like her some time in 2021. She has a unique personality and I find her funny, and she's pretty. I was happy that she was an ace for NMB and that she would double center the next single but then... So sad that she's leaving ;_;

    32. (132) [10|0] [AKB] Nishikawa Rei {+46,0}, 46
I ranked her at #4 and gave her 8 points. This is sad, because I actually ranked her a lot higher than usual to help her to get a boost in the ranks, and it worked, she gained exactly 100 ranks compared to last year! But since the voting, she announced her graduation unexpectedly ;_; it's such a waste. She was doing better and better in AKB, 2021 was her best year and her ranking proves it, a lot of people supported her... ;w; She had her first senbatsu and became regular in TV performances. Even her Showroom video got popular (for arguing with her brother lol) and she had IxR in the recent years. it's sad that she decided to graduate, but I wish her the best!

    32. (53) [7|0] [AKB] Taguchi Manaka {+46,0}, 46
I ranked her at #18 and gave her 1 point. I think she's very nice! She's cool and I'm glad that she's doing better and she will become a team captain soon. 1 point for appreciation :flower:

So I have 6 members in the top 25, I expected it for 5 of them but I'm really happy that my #1 is in the top 25 ahhhh :cute:

Should've been the group's variety queen, but they tamped her down.
Nogi's captain. Doing her best as the group bleeds her gen mates.

I think its funny how it seems to be mostly non-hkt fans that are butthurt about Sakura coming back and graduating. HKT fans knew that she wasn't going to be coming back and were happy to be able to properly say goodbye to her. The fact that she included Haruppi in her graduation concert so she could perform for the last time with Hkt shows how good a person that Sakura is.

Regarding Jurina, I've never particularly liked her and I think her actions during the last SSK were weird but I've never neg-voted her because I could see she was going through a nervous breakdown at the time and probably was for 2 years after the SSk.

°Umeyama Cocona - I love her. Her visuals are stunning, her personality intriguing. She is reserved in her behavior, yet cute and cool. She feels very natural, yet like a model. Her graduation announcement still hurts, but no matter what she plans to do from now on, all the best to her. And maybe, maybe, we are lucky to be graced by her again as a model on magazine covers one day.
°Taniguchi Megu - Skyrocketed onto the third place of my favorite AKB members in the mid of 2021. I knew her for a longer time. Name, face, but that's it. With the senbatsu announcement of NemoHamo I thought I should get to know her better - and that was a. damn. good. idea. I mean look at the visuals :)p) I mean her VISUALS, her personality +etc.. she just has that something to her that attracts me. Btw what gave me quiet some respect(and love) for her was the discussion with Fukuoka, Iwatate and Omori Miyu about how she should name Team B in her introduction after Iwatate took over (Spoiler- "Yahhoo Sahhoo Team B no Taniguchi Megu desu"). I thought it was just for fun while she filmed the whole discussion, but she actually did it later, that purely impressed me! Link to the video on YT

°Kato Rena - 48. (33) [9|1] [AKB] Kato Rena {+39,-3}, 36 - Never been my favorite, but from a visuel perspective one of my Top7 from the current members. I wish her good luck for her post idol career
°Endo Sakura - 32. (48) [12|1] [N46] Endo Sakura {+49,-3}, 46 - Didn't do it for me in the beginning, isn't in my Kami7 now. BUT, I started to like her more ever since her performance at THE FIRST TAKE. She did so beautiful, all I could do was sitting her and quietly enjoy it with a smile. Another thing was that she did the Bungee Jump for the promotion of Gomen ne Fingers crossed, which earned her a lot of respect from me.
°Akimoto Manatsu - 29. (55) [10|1] [N46] Akimoto Manatsu {+54,-5}, 49 - (My number 21| 19 if current members only) It may have been was her last (full) year with Nogizaka.. lots of respect and good memories for/with this woman. I don't really want her to graduate, but it just feels like the end. Maybe it has to be the end, so Umezawa and the rest of the next generation can fully take over. No matter what she decides to do.. I *SALUTE*

My entire positives are done :D not too surprised, I know my taste is… different.

I'll do the whole list, pasting from the previous post, to have it all in one place.

    16. 296. (234) [1|0] [SKE] Suzuki Kokona {+2,0}, 2

To weird for y'all? Honestly, can't blame you, but you're missing out.

    15. 276. (303) [2|0] [SKE] Inoue Ruka {+3,0}, 3

Naiteruuchan. At least mine wasn't the only vote.

    19. 258. (166) [2|0] [STU] Shinano Soraha {+4,0}, 4

I doubt she'll ever make it as an idol, but she'll have a very successful tarento or even geinin career after graduation.

    18. 227. (234) [3|0] [SKE] Sato Kaho {+6,0}, 6

My guilty pleasure. I dislike the type so much, but she's just… so comforting.

    09. 206. (286) [4|0] [H46] Takase Mana {+7,0}, 7

Unacceptable. Cancel the whole event and let's vote again after y'all done your homework. You need more Manafi in your life.

    08. 192. (140) [2|0] [STU] Otani Marina {+8,0}, 8

Original STU oshi and pet weirdo. She fizzled a little before graduation, so I wasn't too surprised or sad when she announced, wish her the best with her dreams and that she keeps being that lovable dork.

    14. 192. (132) [3|0] [AKB] Yamane Suzuha {+8,0}, 8

Even after dropping AKB as a whole (she's the only non-graduate pink name in this list), she radiates so much love, I often click stuff with her name to see what's up just because she's there, or watch her SR for a bit of warm fuzzy.

    05. 174. (166) [2|0] [AKB] Maeda Ayaka {+10,0}, 10

My first and only ‘real time’ AKB oshi. That one did make me sad when she announced, but I was already off AKB so I made peace with it quickly. Then, just as I'm cruising a second chika idol phase, she shows up as the center and unofficial leader of a chika group. Zero complaints here. More AKB girls should probably quit and go chika.

    11. 153. (140) [4|0] [H46] Tomita Suzuka {+13,0}, 13

If choosing an oshi had anything to do with logic, Suzy should be my kami. There are a few idols around that can be used as a perfect demonstration to answer the question ‘what do I like in an idol’, but Suzy is probably the most well-known of those, so probably the most useful answer. She's got it.

    04. 144. (118) [2|0] [STU] Kadowaki Miyuna {+14,0}, 14

Very special one, Miyuna. I like this ‘charai’ type. She had my support as a member, she had my support when the rumors happened, and she will have it again when/if she comes back to entertainment. She gets to rank this high because, well, while I'm not sure I even like her enough to go to her handshake, if I'm honest her SR was a big contribution to carrying me through the tough parts of 2020 and 2021.

Aside, quite happy to see she wasn't downvoted.

    01. 134. (---) [1|0] [STU] Kudo Riko {+15,0}, 15

Absolute 48G oshi. Gets #1 for various reasons, mainly my Sakamichi choice being much less firm, with two girls splitting my heart almost equally. But that's another topic. Rikochi is super funny and yet super serious, she's pure and ambitious, I think she has a lot of potential.

By the way the (---) is not correct, she did rank last year, and the year before as well. The confusion is probably because in the last couple of votes her name got spelled Kudou (which is technically more correct, but not how we usually do it around here.)

    10. 124. (104) [3|0] [STU] Kai Kokoa {+17,0}, 17

STU's little boy. I'm a known and admitted variety-biased fan, and while Kokoa is not a ‘variety member’ any more than the likes of Sae and Yuko were, like them she brightens any program she's in.

    20. 124. (145) [4|0] [STU] Oki Yuka {+17,0}, 17

Scrapping the barrel here to meet the 20 :^^;: I wouldn't say I'm her fan, but she's pretty good on TV, so I guess she could have been. But if I thought this trough properly the vote should have gone to Yakubo.

    13. 107. (166) [6|0] [H46] Yamaguchi Haruyo {+21,0}, 21

If I liked her a little more my Hinata oshiness could be more simply explained as ‘one per gen’ [hehe] but no, she's not quite at the level of the other two. Still, she's new, that could change. She's great in so many ways.

    03. 87. (74) [4|0] [H46] Watanabe Miho {+24,0}, 24

Everything good about Hinata concentrated in one person. Also my favorite smile in the world.

    07. 52. (14) [6|1] [AKB] Minegishi Minami {+38,-4}, 34

My ‘golden age’ oshi, since announcing and starting YT I bumped her back up to my personal spotlight, and she gave me some great times.

    17. 36. (29) [12|0] [N46] Hayakawa Seira {+44,0}, 44

So many great girls in 4th gen, it's hard to pick a favorite, but Hayakawa has never let me down.

    12. 29. (55) [10|1] [N46] Akimoto Manatsu {+54,-5}, 49

The woman who taught me to stop worrying and love the burikko.

    02. 27. (93) [8|0] [H46] Kato Shiho {+52,0}, 52

Hinata's loose canon. She wants to be called angel but I think in her case it's less in the sense that girls usually get called angel and more like Evangelion.

Me? I love every minute and every complete insanity that comes out of her mouth.

Yes, she's also incredibly pretty. As much as I want to say that's not a big factor for me… well, it kind of is, in a roundabout way. Because she's so pretty and she could totally make it in the industry with a lot less effort, being a wallflower like so many idols (even in Hinata), but no, that's not what she's here for. She gets to be a model and an agent of chaos on TV and radio. That's… worth some points.

Edit: whoa, I spent more time and effort on this post than the vote
