Thank you! I thought it might be something like that, but wasn't sure. I suck at understanding spoken Japanese... :(

Nope. I can't do this show. Children's programming can be interesting and compelling but well... SNCM is really boring at times and many of the themes are kind of dumb/awkward. Especially the poop man song (those poor girls, I bet none of them expected to have to do something like that...Team B's So Long song isn't nearly as shameful) and...girls in seifuku getting down on all fours and wagging their butts pretending to be animals...yeesh.

I do like how absolutely soothing Yuki's reading segments are, they'd be great to fall asleep to. Only problem is, they keep you awake with those questionable shots of her legs and such... not sure those are really fit for children's programming. Oh sure they're innocent enough but it's not the kind of focus you would expect if the show's trying to entertain kids.

I don't know if this show is trying to pander towards kids or adults in the end. I don't even know if IT knows. If it's trying to do one or the other, it's failing terribly. And the idea of both just does not mix well. I will be passing on the rest of the eps of this... I wonder if it would have been the same kind of show if K or A had won.

I kept on having "DAFUQ" while watching the first episode. Will give 2nd episode a chance before deciding whether I'll continue watching it in the future :^^;:

Re: [TV] Team B [Saturday Night Child Machine] (13/04/13~)

It airs at 1 am, so it's definitely not for children. :D

I'm surprised they kept the exact same sketches from the 1st episode. I thought there would be some more variety to it, but I guess in every episode we'll be getting Yukirin reading stories, Paruru annoying some guy in a fur suit, Umechan ringing Minarun... Does this show have a limited number of episodes or is it supposed to run indefinitely?

Re: [TV] Team B [Saturday Night Child Machine] (13/04/13~)

I know it's at midnight or 1am, but I cannot even tell it's a parody most of the time. Possibly because it's so boring. Paru's segment is cute, but sooo slooowwww I would believe it was for kids after all. The sketch portion with Umechan etc reminds me of Bimyo somewhat but again, it's so simple it seems less like a parody and more like it's trying to be serious.

I'm usually pretty good at picking up on what's a parody or intended to be humorous or satirical... but this... is just very confusing in many ways :D

Though I would like to say if something is too close to what it's parodying, it can become the thing itself. I think that's the problem here >_>

Re: [TV] Team B [Saturday Night Child Machine] (13/04/13~)

I will agree that the Umechan, Katorena, Minarun segment is SUPER boring, but I think the rest of the stuff is pretty funny, especially Paruru's failure at creating those complicated toys. The songs are super ridiculous, but I think it's because of the parody element. Actually, in the beggining of each episode Megu-tan says that in the magic land it's 8 am, but she doesn't know what time is it on Earth.

Idk, I really find some of the skits hilarious and while the Yukirin segment and the Umechan segments bore me (Yukirin's is probably entertaining if you want to stare at her legs or listen to her twisted stories but I don't care about either), some of it is very funny. Especially the songs, I mean, the Unkoman song was so over the top! Guutara mama is also really great.

Meanwhile, Warner Brothers still hasn't confirmed if Unkoman is going to be in the new Justice League movie...

I was hoping they would show the story of the other customers in the cafe. Other than always focus on Oba, Umeda, and Kato maybe have some dialogue for Katayama and Fujie in the other booth. Anyway, Oba is great in this and I guess the point is to take notice of the differences from week to week.

I finally had some time to check this program.
I see what they are trying to do, but the final result is too bad for me.
Even Yuki : she was funny one moment (it must be more difficult to read like she do than it would be to read normally) but I had enough in a few minutes.

Dont remove Paruparu-san (cause I like how they do the art the wrong way) and the Guess-the-out-of-place-thing segment (when I just started to like it knowing the concept). :hmm: [boom]
