i want to make one that i feel like would've really defined a new era for akb so i pretty much excluded the golden era members (sorry maeda, i still love you)

1. Yamamoto Sayaka (she would've been an amazing akb48 center. and i feel like she would've totally created a new different image for akb48 as center)
2. Okada Nana (Sayaka vs. Nana would've been so interesting and intense. i feel like they would've been really good competitors)
3. Shimazaki Haruka (even before i got really into akb48 she caught my eyes. such an interesting image/personality. and i think she's so naturally funny)
4. Miyawaki Sakura (like the general non-offensive pretty and cute idol girl. pretty much the ideal idol mold)
5. Mukaichi Mion (she always gives off such a bright, innocent, and cute image)
6. Yokoyama Yui (of course the leader/captain. definitely the kind girl next door type
7. Kodoma Haruka (she gives off the elegant rich girl vibes.)

I think they all have really distinct images, personalities and looks. Would've been a great kami7 to lead akb48 to a new era i feel.

 

I'm not sure if I'm getting the question right but I'm interpreting it to mean the most important members in the group right now, in terms of either keeping it going or it staying relevant, not members who I like the most.

2. Murayama Yuiri (Fan favorite, quiet leader)
3. Mion Mukaichi (General Manager, new face of the group)
4. Okada Nana (Fan favorite)
5. Yokoyama Yui (Former General Manager, quiet leader)
6. Minegishi Minami (Last 1st Gen, Developed a lot of the current leaders of the group, one of the strongest variety members throughout it's history)
7. Oya Shizuka (Noteworthy variety leader)

I think Kuranoo Narumi or Sakaguchi Nagisa could take one of the slots with Miichan leaving, but to be honest, I don't know enough about team 8 power rankings
