I wonder how much her busy schedule last year contributed to her deciding to graduate? In her announcement blog post, she says she's going to take some time off after graduation and I read this as as bit of a break on her work. It feels to me like she's feeling the grind. Hi guys, I was just looking on Instagram at Yamashita's post; is it true she participated in handshake(?) the event at Makuhari Messe within the past few days? I thought that usually the veterans weren't required to participate after a certain point; if she did, that is incredible (and further proof of how much she loves the fans)!

 

I think the Real Meet and Greet is what the individual handshake event was to the online meguri. All members participate. I believe they also do the mini live for the single as well. So, while it’s great to see her dedication to the group, I think it’s a matter of routine. Yet, I don’t doubt that she would go out of her way to give her fans just a bit extra before she goes.

I feel Yama is probably the biggest idol in Japan at this moment, with her acting and modeling work she's pretty well known. Once she graduates who takes the top spot? Is it Kubo? Or is it another idol in another group?
