SDN48 Popularity Poll

Basic Information

The SDN48 Popularity Poll (人気投票) was a long-running poll held by SDN48's TV show Suppon no Onnatachi. the main objetive of "Suppon..." was to get various promotion activities for a future Major Debut, and since the show's first episode, a Member popularity ranking poll started with the main goal to select the most popular members of SDN48 to decide the very first Senbatsu Members for a future, debut single.

the poll was divided in various voting periods, it lasted all the way from May until September 2010. at first, they were going to select 15 members but the number was decreased to 12 later on.

In Difference to AKB's/SKE's Senbatsu Election. the final ranking wasn't going to be reflected in screen time for each member (bascially, the 1# won't necessarily be center of the single)

Voting Methods

1. voting through Asahi's Mobil Website. (you could vote once per day)
2. reading the member's GREE blog entries (each opened entry counts as 1 vote)
3. downloading an especial Member Picture from Asahi's Mobil Site. (1 download, 1 vote)

each category was counted separately, and the top 15 made out of the rankings were given votes. depending where the girl ranked, the amount of votes she got:

1st - 15 points	6th - 10 points	11th - 5 points
2nd - 14 points	7th - 9 points	12th - 4 points
3rd - 13 points	8th - 8 points	13th - 3 points
4th - 12 points	9th - 7 points	14th - 2 points
5th - 11 points	10th - 6 points	15th - 1 point

then the results from all the categories were summed together and created the final overall ranking. for example, if one girl ranked 5th (11 pt) in the category A, 9th (7 pt) in the category B and 1st (15) in the category C, her total points for that voting period would be 33 (11+7+15).
