CKG48 (short for Chungking48) is a Chinese idol group and the 4th sister group of SNH48. The group has their own theater, located in the Chongqing Guorui Center in Chongqing, China.
Contents
Overview
- On January 19, 2019 at SNH48 Group Grand Shuffle 2019 the group was disbanded. Later, it was announced on March 16, 2019 that the group will reform without teams.
- On June 2, 2023 it was announced that the group will change the color of its logo, going from brown to orange.
Differences from other groups
- Unlike the other 48 Groups, CKG48 is named after the abbreviation Chungking but not Chongqing based in the International Phonetic Alphabet. CKG is also the IATA code of Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.
- First and only 48 Group to be disbanded and later reformed.
- They are also the first group to change the color of their logo.
