History・Terms

Yoshimotozaka46 (吉本坂46) is a Japanese idol group and the 3rd group of the Sakamichi Series. The group is a collaboration between the Yoshimoto talent agency and SME with Akimoto Yasushi as their producer. The 1st Generation members were announced on August 21, 2018. The group was named after the Osaka-based entertainment company, Yoshimoto Kogyo.

On October 29, 2021, it was announced that the group would suspend its activities from February 2022 and would enter "hibernation".
