TPE48 (short for Taipei48) is a projected Taiwanese Idol Group. The group was announced in the official blog in October 2011. The construction of a dedicated theater was announced, as well as a first member audition round in 2012. On 26th March 2016, it was announced the group, along with 2 other new Sister Groups, will debut. However, it is unknown when this will be. On April 28, 2017, official profile pictures of the 1st Generation's 6 members were posted on AKB48 Official Shop Taiwan. They will hold their first performance on April 30, 2017.
