hi, since i'm bored right now and have nothing to do, i guess i can share some of the music from one of my favorite artist

as you can probably tell, it is Fort Minor.
Fort minor is a solo side project by Mike Shinoda (no relation with Mariko Shinoda), which some of you probably know is one of the member (guitarist, rapper and keyboardist) of the rock band Linkin Park (which is my favorite band of all time by the way). now, Fort Minor was made by Shinoda because at that time (2004) Linkin Park was having a break from making album and Shinoda wanted to make music back to his original roots, which is hip-hop. so far Fort minor only have one album, "The Rising Tied" which is released on 2005 (gosh that's made me feel old). and to me it is one of the best hip-hop album released after the turn of the millenium (certainly better than the crap rapper made today). the album has a lot of great song in them

which is about the capturing and prisoning of all japanese people in america during World War 2 because of paranoia after pearl harbor. the lyrics is just amazing, i wish more rap song can be this or any other rap song from the early 2000's and not just meaningless rambling about drug, sex and money.

1. Toe - Goodbye

Math rock / post-rock band from Tokyo. Most of their songs are instrumental but on recent release they include vocals.
This video makes me wanna live in Japan. ^^

2. Mono - Follow the Map

Instrumental post-rock band from Tokyo. They use heavy delay and draw influence from classical music.

3. Tokyo Shoegazer - Bright

Just like the name, they're from Tokyo & play shoegaze. Too bad they've broken up but I heard some members make new band, also play shoegaze.

4. Kinoko Teikoku - Eureka

Originally shoegaze / dream pop band but recent releases are more closer to indie rock. Band's vocalist, Sato Chiaki is formerly an actress who had appeared to some doramas & movies.

5. Lullatone - Growing Up

Carach Angren is a dutch symphonic black metal band that uses a variety of horror themes for their songs.
This song is from their upcoming album. Besides the common black metal ingredients, there are a lot of theatrical elements to enrich the song.
Although it has some relentless passages, it also has lot of catchy parts.

One of the best songs ever made. It begins with intro consisting of piano and glockenspiel and Jónsi's falseto, he sings in Icelandic, then it continues with crescendo, with Jónsi playing guitar with cello bow and singing in his signature Hopelandic, the songs ends with outro, Jónsi back to sing in Icelandic.
