Honestly the pv (and the mediocre song) gives bad "brand/image" to akb
at least in my country
not that i care.. but akip (or japanese fans) doesnt care opinion of people from overseas so yeah...

If they cared what people overseas thought of them they wouldn't be the awesome AKB that they are. I don't like their 'underwear stuff' either, but unfortunately it's just a part of what they do. But anyway, Heavy Rotation is their signature song (and also Yuko's first center position as the Sousenkyo winner), it would feel pretty random if they had chosen some other song I think.

 

It's important to Yuko fans because it's the first A-side where she was center after winning the elections. It was also a milestone for AKB because it's regarded as one of their most popular songs.

 

For better (the PV was iconoclastic) or for worse (the PV sends some wrong signals to the wrong audiences), it's by far one of the most popular, recognizable and also the most controversial.

I'm going crazy thinking about how once Yuko graduates, they're gonna perform the song with Sasshi in her position and Mayu in Acchan's at all the big concerts. Boy, people are gonna be pissed!
