Manattan was today's Sakamichi guest on Yoshimotozaka46 no Urueu made. She gets the short end of the stick though since today's the last episode so she only gets the one episode instead of the usual two. She got flowers at the end, so that makes up for it.

Akimoto Manatsu released her 2nd photo book "Itsuka no machi awase basho" half years ago, so Akimoto Manatsu decides to restart its Instagram promotion account @manatsu_2nd to her personal one

Shiraishi Mai has been announced as host of 21 (22) October episode of Nogizaka46 no All Night Nippon ahead of Maiyan's graduation the following week (28 October). Will be titled Shiraishi Mai no All Night Nippon in this instance. Will feature Nogi captain Akimoto Manatsu as well as Ozono Momoko as guests.

Akimoto Manatsu will be the cover girl of Japanese magazine Ex Taishu (2020 December), the magazine will be released on 13 November 2020.

 

Akimoto Manatsu is straight up effort and hard work.
IMO, she doesn't have much going on her in term of visual. As one of Nogi prominent member, she's doesn't look exceptionally beautiful or cute like others and she's neither that talented in musical.
However her gui-gui & overly confident character that she pushed even when some member find it disturbing (NOGICHU#104 her self-proclaimed being a character snatch people heart the most, having Maichun to express that Akimoto had strong resolve to utter such opinion on herself) and nowdays even her azatoi character easily outmatched by Yamashita, in Yamashita's "あざとい何が悪いの" youtube video, a Japanese fan commented that whilst Akimoto's azatoi felt more of a made-up (as per her chara) yet Yamashita's felt more natural and genuine. When I read that comment, I came to realization, that's why I, and probably some people would find disturbed when Akimoto did her stuffs but felt more pleasant when it's Yamashita's, it's more real, true and geuine thus it felt more pleasant.

In the end, it comes down on preference I guess. I for one think Manatsu chara is brilliant, especially because it's so over the top and obvious.

Don't forget her real chara as well, she has a heart of gold and is actually very modest when not in azatoi mode. Maybe the most modest of all.

I also think she's very attractive, visually.

 

Geez.. if you have so much time to write stuff to downplaying other member, it'll be better if you spend your time to write the good point of your beloved oshi and praise her highly on her threads. I read twice of your post mention other people comment on youtube, why not bragging about that on the same youtube video you mention rather than bring it here? If you don't find Manatsu burikko interesting, that's fine. However asking her to stop while lot of people IN JAPAN love it, is irrational.

 

The fact that she's pretty much universally loved by every girl in the group tells me all I need to know about her. Few people IN the group CARE about the group as much as she does. Of the remaining - too few - 1st gens, including my oshimen Kaz, I think Manatsu's departure will hit me the hardest because of how much of a character she is, how unique her personality is and what it brought to the group when she appeared out of the blue for Seifuku no Mannequin.

And her interactions with Bananaman are - and always have been - always absolute gold.

 

Thats her chara, they found its disturbing? Thats the point of it, its a good variety show material. Even i found it a little too much at first, but now it just look silly for the obviousness and cute when they tease or retort to her chara.
Her visual? Sure if u compare to others. But her hardwork and ability as an idol,entertainer and now as captain i dare say she is one of the main leading member in nogi growth and is irreplaceable.
