Why do people keep thinking they are going to dissolve Team 4? They aren't (I'm guessing it was back a year later (after dissolving it back in 2012) because management realized they never should have to began with it). Honestly, If they would just shrink Team 8 into 22 members and make it an actual team, it would solve their problem (but of course they are never going to as long as Toyota continues to hold AKB hostage).
Team 8's concept is to have one girl from each prefecture so yeah it can't be anything else than 47 members. when one member graduates, they add a new one from the same prefecture. it's the concept of Team 8 so I really doubt they'll be separated or anything. They should have their own singles tbh... with 47 girls it's such a waste to barely give them songs. and they should change their name to something else than Team 8. as for AKB I prefer if the went back to 3 teams.
That would be killing Team 8. A real Eito fan knows what I'm talking about. EDIT: And no, it wouldn't solve their problems, it would turn them into what the rest of AKB is. And guess what: it's not working. And don't forget what making them a regular team in Akihabara would mean for most of them and their lives. EDIT: If anything, turn AKB into what Team 8 is. Fix a number of members, like 20 per team. When someone graduates, replace her in few weeks. That would mean that you'd have the best girl of an entire audition instead of picking dozens, most of them filler.
Not just an AKB shuffle, make it a FULL 48G shuffle. And also announce 17th gen auditions and 3rd Draft Kaigi. SeeYaWithYou of Onehallyu suggested that the latter event should compose of experienced idols. I would be glad.
There aren't enough girls in any team (except for 4) and a shuffle would solve nothing., you know. Sure, they can do a shuffle and mass promote the 16th gen already and announce the 17th or a draft, but witb the current numbers, moving a girl from a small team to another small team feels pointless.
more team 8 getting kennin wouldn't hurt 16th gen can get the new comers treatment and become team 4 current team 4 can just become a new member in A-K-B

16x4=64 Not counting Team 8 (because they are not gonna get shuffled), there are at current 77 members in AKB. Even if you leave out the soon to grad girls, there is still enough members. It is not ideal, as I would like 20+ per team. But it would be vastly better than what we currently have.
I didn't count the kennin cause they might as well abolish the current ones and not add any (unlikely, but wouldn't surprise me), so I got 65. Sure, they are enough to have 16 girls in every team, but when the senbatsu girls are away they'll have to resort to the same antics they are doing now: asking girls from other teams to fill in. That's why I think a 17th gen is needed as well, so they can use them as unders for the stages and leave every other member to focus on their team.
Or just have perpetual Himawarigumi stages like they've had for ages now. Actual team stages are few and far between at the moment. I entirely agree. I'd prefer to keep the 16th gen together if they are promoting them so as to give them a strong same-gen bond, you usually get a better performing and better functioning team when girls are on a similar level rather than fractured multi-generational teams which has been one of AKB's flaws for a while.
Why not let Team 4 stay as it is, promote the kenkyuusei to Team B (releasing the current Bs) and shuffle A and K with the remaining members? This way you wouldn't have to break the only functional (and popular) AKB4 team, you'd fix Team B and teams A and K could become better.
Although keeping same-generation members together may be the "easiest" way to foster camaraderie, I don't think there's much problem mixing them up as long as the teams structure and identity actually meant something and they get to perform / do stuff together a lot. In fact, I'd rather have mixed dynamics between members from different generations than just generation mates. The problem is that AKS haven't bothered to produce the members as a group from the ground up for quite a while, instead they keep on spawning sister groups with "origin story" that can be sold easier, and look for individual "aces" to make the 48 super group. Given their track record of chosen aces, I don't think they've been doing a good job at developing them.
Even if they promote the 16th gen to different teams, he can still keep the 16th gen stage, just like they've kept the other non-Team stages (Boku no Taiyou, Minera, etc.).

There was an earthquake in Kyushuu/ Shikoku area. https://twitter.com/mak0_k0jima/status/877177851514048512 Biggest hit was in Oita. Some STU members doing streams also felt it. All SR streams were cut due to that.
2017 SSK Result Stats *No data for STU Seat / Votes: AKB 25 / 785,927 HKT 16 / 643,853 SKE 19 / 617,939 NGT 10 / 313,708 NMB 10 / 267,933 President of each group: AKB Watanabe Mayu 149,132 19% HKT Sashihara Rino 246,376 38% SKE Matsui Jurina 113,615 18% NGT Ogino Yuka 73,368 23% NMB Shiroma Miru 41,491 15% Technically NGT bested out NMB this year in votes. HKT beat SKE in votes but lost in seats. But if we take out Sasshi and Jurina votes. SKE (504324) beats HKT (397477) overall speaking. Ogiyuka is more popular in her group than everyone else except Sasshi by voting percentage.
So, do we actually believe Ogino's votes were legit? The tide turned here so fast. It'll be interesting to see next year if she can keep those, even the smallest drop will have people questioning the legitimacy of SSK.
