It's only a special show (Still under AKB48 SHOW) since they have prepared some materials (Nanase's gradcon, Keyakizaka46 - Kuroi Hitsuji, and Hinatazaka46 - Kyun) but with AKB48 SHOW ending, they decided to produce a Special Show for the Sakamichi Series.

But here's another one ; Akb48ANN will be replaced by Nogizaka46ANN hosted by Shinuchi Mai to be broadcasted weekly.

 

NHK announces its plan for producing a special show "Sakamichi TV" for Sakamichi series.

It appears so. I wonder if the cancellation of SSK is a way to make the 48 groups more like Sakamichi?

 

Popularity wise, i believe Nogi has surpassed them about 2 years ago.
But it's like the recent events clarifying it. AKB48! SHOW ended but NHK will airing a special Sakamichi TV. AKB no ANN replaced by Nogizaka no ANN. So from my perspective as a Nogi fans, yes Nogi has beat their senpai.

 

May be AKB's show ended related to 48 group's scandal.

 

AKB lost sponsorship in result of NGT scandal and is vital for TV and radio bring sponsors to pay for the time on air, so it's simple to understand the case. With AKB in bad situation on the eyes of investors the natural way is to replace it with Nogizaka.
