I'm surprised that no one mentioned this one yet, but Yuko will be appearing in a new drama called "Seven Secretaries" on TV Asahi on October 22: Website: https://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/7-hisho Twitter: https://twitter.com/7_hisho_tvasahi
From the news plus her instagram and twitter "Actress Yuko Oshima celebrated her 32nd birthday on October 17th and thanked her fans on Instagram." https://www.excite.co.jp/news/article/Narinari_20201018_62014/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CGcqRS_AUqK/ https://twitter.com/o__yuko_jp/status/1317451954532962305
From almost four years ago: I just found it on Viki with subs: https://www.viki.com/tv/35764c-tokyo-tarareba-girls
Can't thank you enough for this. It's so rare to be able to watch any of the grads in a show that have SUBTITLES!!!!! Thanks again.
richard, there is another on viki that I just discovered two weeks ago. Kawaei Rina has a supporting role (with plenty of screen time) in Frankenstein's Love. I put the link in her thread. http://stage48.net/forum/index.php?...awaei-rina-ricchan.2893/page-239#post-1691176 P.S. the theme song for Tokyo Tarabera Girls was Tokyo Girl by Perfume. if the video does not show watch the video here
@sscria Wow, a subtitled Oshima Yuko movie and a subtitled Kawaei Rina movie all in one weekend. Christmas came early this year!!! Thanks very much for both. I just finished watching episode 1. All three of the Tarabera Girls are absolutely wonderful--people you root for and characters who you want to find happiness. The cast, the script, the storyline------all top-notch. Thanks again for the head's up.
I've been meaning to watch Tokyo Tarareba Girls ever since I finished watching Acchan's "Yuriko" drama. So on that note If you like watching grads in a show with subtitles, I recommend googling "Yuriko's Barenaked Diary Eng Subs." I'm unsure which links are allowed and which ones aren't, but you won't have any issues. I personally really enjoyed it (Sorry, I know that's not about Yuko) Thanks though, I'll start watching TTG soon!
Once again, I am late to the party. Season 2 started a month ago. I just hope we don't have to wait three years for the subs. It has been three years since Kamata Rinko (Yoshitaka Yuriko) and her girlfriends Yamakawa Kaori (Eikura Nana) and Torii Koyuki (Oshima Yuko) kept musing over hypothetical “what if” questions as they struggled with romance and work. The three of them who have been good friends from the time they were in high school are now 33. Kaori married a former elementary school classmate Hirasawa Yu (Watanabe Daichi) after a whirlwind courtship. Koyuki is busy getting prepared to open the cafe of her dreams while Rinko’s lacklustre situation as a scriptwriter continues to persist although she has been dating Asakura Riichi (Matsushita Kohei), who works at a library, for about a year. https://jdramas.wordpress.com/2020/10/07/ntv-drama-special-2020-tokyo-tarareba-musume/ https://www.ntv.co.jp/tarareba2020/
More off-topic (until we get a thread for TV shows with members). Another from Viki, this time with Annin, Hana ni Keda Mono - Flower and the Beast (not listed in our wiki - hint to Bonjourmarlene). She is also in the second season. https://www.viki.com/tv/36736c website: https://www.fujitv.co.jp/hananikedamono/
I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed watched all 10 episodes of Tarareba Girls. Absolutely fantastic. The 3 female leads were so likable and pretty and quirky. It's so strange because my daughter used to watch Sex and the City when it was on TV and I cannot put into words how much I hated that show and, especially, the 3 women stars. Go figure. Thank you again for making Tarareba Girls so available to us.
I haven't started Tarareba yet, but I finally got around (6 years later) to watch Yuko's gradcon. It was beautiful and emotional, and I especially loved the performance of UZA. I miss Yuko, she brought a lot of energy to the stage. I wish Team K could be as bright and vibrant as they used to be. They were on the right track – they had popular girls like Kojima Mako and Yahagi Moeka, but both of them left the team too early. I wish we could have another member like Yuko who is not afraid to be wild and funny. I think the wildness and energy is what made Team K so amazing back then.
Continuing with my string of off-topic posts on members in tv shows, do you see anyone who looks familiar? https://www.fujitv.co.jp/hananikedamono2/gallery/index_01.html Update: @David61 posted about it in March of 2019. What is new is that you can watch with subs on Viki. http://stage48.net/forum/index.php?...a-mariko-mariko-san.141/page-130#post-1578023
