The Idol on Demand YouTube channel seems to be associated with a company called Liverpool which produces gravure DVDs. Previews of physical disk releases are shown on the channel and then sometime later on when the DVD content becomes available for paid streaming a second preview is uploaded. AFAICS no Blu-ray versions are released so maybe that's to encourage viewers to sign up for the service.
The disc choice might be related to how (still) implanted the format is. And both are in serious decline now.
