I watched the drama "Hokuo Kojirase Nikki" where Hiichan is lead role (you can find the subs here and there are also YouTube links that were shared on this thread). The drama is only 4 episodes of 24 minutes but since it's all focused on her, she's in every scene! I thought the story is very cute. Hiichan plays the role of a girl who's a big fan of Finland since she was little. This was fun since usually we see people from Europe/US etc. being into Japan culture but here it's the opposite ^^ I'm not sure about the reason why the producer of this drama picked Finland, but it was nice! Of course we don't get to see Hiichan going to Finland lol but she cooks finnish dishes and sweets, talks about the culture, talks with finnish people, etc. This is a nice story, very easy to watch. it's also about dreams and goals in life. and Hiichan has a boyfriend in the drama but there isn't really romance, it's more like just a normal couple ^^

Btw I thought Hiichan looks really cute when she has dark hair and the glasses (or even without the glasses), that's a nice look on her! and her acting is good, she did well in this role :3

 

I knew as soon as I saw you wrote a post here.

Like we said before, Japan has a thing for Finrando. But it wasn't the show's producer picking Finrando, it's an adaptation of a book.

But... the lake...
