Okay I've listened to the song enough now that I can give a proper opinion! Personally, I like it. It's very catchy and has a few very catchy and cute lines - my favourite is Miu's "kimi to mitai, YOU:ME to ME:I" and I also like the repetitive "my oh my ME:I" throughout the song. It's funny to me that both of those were chosen as part of the cheering guide too, but maybe that's exactly why! There are some additional layers to this song that make it great to me as a debut song. Of course, they mention the group's name a few times, and also mention the fanbase once, but there's other stuff too. For example, Keiko has been telling on ABOUT ME:I and ME:I no Yume Mitai that she has pretty strong anxiety, she's always nervous and frightened, so the fact she got the line "anxiety on loop" in her rap is very fitting for her. Another part that I like is that Tsuzumi, Ayane and Shizuku are called 'celestialz' as a trio because Tsuzumi 'Sun' and Ayane 'Moon' as a vocalist duo. Shiichan was later added into the mix as 'Stars,' hence the trio name celestialz. In the song, Tsuzumi gets a line that translates to "I'm shining on you," which I take as a reference to her being the Sun of the trio - and if that's not intended, it's a really cute coincidence! The the B-Side "Sugar Bomb" will be released digitally on April 15th - it hasn't been confirmed that we will get a music video but images from the debut concept teaser have also been used for the mood photo posted by the official Twitter/X account. So people are wondering if we're gonna get a MV and whether they're connected! Screenshots from the debut concept teaser: Official mood photo for Sugar Bomb: Source: https://twitter.com/official__ME_I_/status/1769740545528852734 The music video for Click looks like the girls are chasing/trying to find ME:EYE (the mascot) and there's also hints at time travel, so I think they can do a lot more with this concept. Additional fun fact: Kokona is kinda going viral as the girl from the rice fields that made her debut! Many comments under the Click music video are about how they're glad Kokona has made it to this world wide stage instead of being confined to Mie. I saw a comment in a thread that even said "even for Mie standards, Kokona's hometown is very rural" Today (March 26th) is also the release of S Cawaii! (Spring edition) with ME:I on the cover. The Youtube channel has just posted this: if the video does not show watch the video here Magazine releases so far and upcoming: February 22 - Vivi (first cover) March 8 - FINEBOYS March 19 - CUT March 23 - CanCam March 25 - smart March 26 - S Cawaii! _____ March 27 - anan March 27 - MODELPRESS Countdown March 28 - Nylon April 1 - PREPPY April 4 - Nikkei Entertainment April 17 - Eye-Ai April 19 - non-no
Listend to the debut song and I like it too. "click" has some nice parts who gets you hooked up everytime you listen to it. Sadly it's a short song(?), I think with 1 minute more, some members would get an extra line? But great debut!

ModelPress story The 11-member girl group ME:I appears in the magazine "Model Press Countdown Magazine vol.9" (released on the 27th), which focuses on the influence of video creators mainly on YouTube and TikTok. There is a special feature on the cover and the first 16 pages. ME:I was born from Japan's largest survival audition program "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS" . It has been decided that they will debut on April 17th, and the group is attracting a lot of attention. We will deliver their charm through special gravure and cross talk. Divided into MOMONA & RAN, KOKONA & RINON, COCORO & SUZU, SHIZUKU & KEIKO & TSUZUMI, and MIU & AYANE, they will deliver 2-shot and 3-shot gravure photos, introduce themselves to each other, and share the message `` representing a new Japanese generation'' that is included in ME:I 's group name. "Idol" and asked, "What kind of idol do you want to be in the future?" Also, when asked about the group's goals on Crosstalk, leader MOMONA said, ``No matter where we go, no matter how we move forward, our one goal is to always be in love with YOU:ME (the fans' name). This is my number one goal,” she said. In addition, Thelma Aoyama, who served as the vocal trainer for "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS", appears in a related project on the cover. She told me about the appeal of ME:I from her perspective. https://mdpr.jp/news/detail/4237122

More from Model Press ME:I・AYANE's "love for music" is second to none A series of interviews with the 11-member girl group ME:I, who will be the cover model for March 2024 in Model Press' original project "This Month's Cover Model." AYANE (18) appears in Solo Edition Vol.9. - First of all, please tell us about the member whose impression you have changed the most since the audition or who you have become friends with. AYANE: SUZU-chan and KOKONA's impressions have not changed, but rather they have become friends. KOKONA was with the group twice during the audition, but we didn't have much contact with each other in terms of daily life, and we didn't have much contact with SUZU either, so I started to see things in our lives after forming the group. When it came to KOKONA, I realized for the first time that we had very similar tastes in food, and as we had more opportunities to talk like that, we became good friends. ― Do you share the same taste in food as KOKONA? Do you have the same food preferences as ramen? Is it chocolate? AYANE: I also like chocolate, but for example, when I say, ``I don't like this,'' KOKONA turns out to be the same, ``Eh, me too,'' or if it's tamagoyaki and boiled eggs, I prefer boiled eggs, or have specific preferences. - What about SUZU? AYANE: I really didn't have any contact with SUZU-chan during the audition, and we were only on the final stage together, but at that time, we were mostly practicing and sleeping, so we were tired and didn't have a chance to talk, so we had to live together. Since then, I've started to have a lot of small talk, and I've come to realize that there's more to her than that, and I've started to see more of her as a person. - Since forming the group, you have already had various experiences such as training camps in Korea, but was there a moment during that time that was a turning point for you? AYANE: I think it's really important this time how much you understand the songs in a short period of time. I also think that respecting each other is very important when working as a team, and I think all of these things were important for my personal growth. These ads are so cute! I was freaking out a little over the BTS clip for Sakuranbo (Sakurai Miu x Ishii Ran) cause as many other fans have also observed, Ran is very touchy and flirty with all the members but Miu has always kinda rejected her - see this viral image from yesterday: https://twitter.com/sakumiu__2525/status/1775036980327551027 And now they're all lovey dovey I also saw another funny comment online that said advertisers are intentionally not putting rebloom (Kasahara Momona x Kato Cocoro) together as a duo because it would give off too many married couple vibes, so they added Shizuku, but their clip just looks like parents and daughter now The duos and units in ME:I are really interesting!!
