When that Kenkyusei member Ashley Cole was presented in MNLIFE that agency commented this

 

Ahh, so it's Cole. I thought it was Ash. Got me scared for a moment there.

To be honest, I'm not sure what kind of rules the Kenkyuusei are under. I've pretty much given up trying to justify their addition and just accepted them because, hell, what's there to do?

 

Oops sorry my bad, I got curious because I saw this on an international akb fan club. Some fans are also confused as to why we are allowing this to happen.

Why those kenkyuseii with a model/talent agency always change their name like Reiko and Reika, even though that's not their real name, same as Cole which real name seems to be Ashley


cole agency seems to be sending lots of their model.

 

There are unscrupulous people or even third-parties out there in social media, who are trying to ride on the brand, for self-promotion and/or inserting certain keywords to make them easier to find, just as there are fakes who claim to be either upcoming stars or talent/modeling agencies (hell, we once outed a "fixer" posing as a talent scout on Facebook, claiming to be on the inside who promised first pick for the auditions).

But still, technically all those who have been chosen should have cancelled their existing contracts with other agencies (whether real or fake) upon signing a binding contract.

 

Come to think about it, most of the other Kenkyuusei were said to be signed talents when they had this "secret audition". It's the only way they could have been informed of it taking place. It seems to me that at least some of the eligibility criteria for the original applicants did not apply to this later batch.

It's not like the original 75 were a clean slate either, with the GPU issue and others being "talents" of ABS-CBN and some (like Sela, Sheki and Lara) have joined other contests and/or did modelling jobs (which seems to indicate that they were under management at least in the past). Not that it's a big issue for me anymore (the kenkyuusei really do need members), but it's worth noting how fluid things are behind the scenes.

Because Ashley Cloud Garcia already has a lock on the name "Ashley" being a full member and part of the senbatsu to boot. No one's gonna give way to a kenkyuusei.

 

Let the Wotas know about this & everything will follow. I always think that the reason why Reiko & Reika quited is because of this.

 

Uh, not all wotas. Some are still boycotting it, while others continually launch smear drives; like any other anti they're looking for excuses for the project to fail.

 

I think she meant the ones who are left.

 

Well lets see if her Agency doesn't get along with AKS/HHE. Let's give her a month or less.

 

Despite how crappy her supposed agency is acting by riding on her name, I'm willing to give Cole the benefit of the doubt especially if she works hard. I would like to separate her and her efforts from the murkiness of the initiative that brought the Kenkyuusei to us. After all, it's the girls who got the shorter end of the stick.
