Single Nogizaka46 33rd Single [Ohitorisama Tengoku] (2023.08.23)

Lower than last single’s first day. Hopefully this isn’t a trend and Ohitorisama finishes strong for the week.

I don't wanna be that negative person, but those numbers are really disheartening. I really thought the combination of a new, fresh, popular center and a well-received title song would result in a sales increase but currently we're at -12k from the last single after 2 days. Last single sold 516k first week, so there's a danger of falling under the 500k mark

 

Yeah those numbers seem weird because online buzz of this single vs the previous one is like night and day lol. Management effort in promoting it was also clearly harder, the song itself as was better received and was fun and refreshing (I think Hito Wa Yume Wo Nido Miru is a way better song but people seem a bit bored of that style) coupling songs this single are imo way better, etc.

Maybe loss of wotas with 1ki gone, maybe less people buy singles overall, who knows! But this being lower than previous single is certainly surprising.

 

But promotion was for the main song only. Not much happened with the coupling songs until the final 2 weeks. Did the coupling songs get radio play?

Also, they did not release any information on the BluRay contents until last weekend which perhaps dampened any enthusiasm for purchasers. I think they bungled it as much as the previous single's release. I wonder how much the change in not including the music videos on the discs have hurt sales?

 

I guess the perks of this single's CD is also not attractive. It's almost the same as last single with 5ki individual PVs and Under live. On top of that there are so many other things to buy like concerts and PBs. Even if the song is better received, for casual fans I guess they would rather buy the digital or stream it. Can't be helped also that they are on downward trajectory and with all 1ki gone, there's no masking it. And the number of members are getting thinner with just 33 active members (11 3ki, 12 active 4ki, 10 active 5ki).

 

It would be interesting to see streaming numbers for the last 10 singles (maybe more).

Finally 500k, even before 1 week. By the way, the total sales up to the 4th day are close to one week's total sales of the 32nd, which is 516,842 copies. So, it is a really good pace and growth.

Nice. I wonder what percentage is from people picking up the CDs at the concert? Or even those who didn't want to buy it until they saw the Jingu shows?

So could someone explain me how some said, the boost of the last days is because of their summer final tour performance? Did fans wait till this date? Had they special events?

 

By purchasing the CD at the venue, you can get a poster of a member, but it is random. Many people were sitting outside the sales booth with stacks of CDs and posters.
