Aw sucks that no.2 didn't make the cut considering it seems like 12 of the 13 on the showroom events made it. Stick grats to these 12.

#12 is really high , somehow I feel #7's image is little look like Suzuki Ayane.
Too bad #2 didn't pass, her talking voice is so unique.

Ah so almost all of them pass the audition
I thought it was gonna be 8 or 7.

 

It's gonna be VERY difficult for the 1st and 2nd gen members to get close to the 3rd gen members i reckon due to the age gap.

The youngest is currently Miria who is 16, youngest in 3rd gen is 12! That's 12 years difference compared to Maiyan and Sayurin

 

Don't know how long for me to remember these new names . But we got another Ito though

 

I feel like in a way, First Gen is going to need to start grooming some of the 2nd and 3rd gens now for the groups future. I can easily see the older members taking a 3rd gen under their wing.

 

True most of the 2nd gen members are not even close to the 1st gens..

 

Its definitely gotta suck if you are the only one who didn't make it, a lot worse feeling than if 5 or 6 didn't lol
The 12 that made it look like they have good potential and some really cute girls too, overall its a great new gen, hopefully they are not mismanaged like 2nd ones.

 

This is where the weakness of not having a theater plays out, there's no way for the different generations to bond really. The first gen will be off doing all the outside jobs while the other gens do a heck of a lot less except for handshake events and 3rd gen will probably stick around with their own gen at those events anyway.

Yamashita Mizuki is the only one that really stood out from the group, her eyes remind me of Shibata Aya's "beams" while her face reminds me a bit of Kaneko Shiori. Her showroom was very good, I think of any of the 3rd gen she'll turn out to be very popular in handshakes.

The 3rd gen audition are mainly selected by female fashion magazines (an.an, nonno e.t.c.), which is why many girls would kill to get into this group.
So far Nogizaka46 has the most number of prettiest members compared to other groups. They have most of the prerequisites on what fashion magazines would look for.

But when the time to groom the 3rd gen comes in, Bananaman and the 1st gen would prolly be retiring from the group.

 

Thanks for this video. The members are pretty nervous like the first days on Showroom. Ozono Momoko, in particular, sent me back to the first time she streamed on Showroom. She was nervous then, she's extremely nervous now. Hopefully the pressure doesn't get to her, and that her fellow 3rd gen (not to mention 1st and 2nd) would help her be strong.

I'm happy that 'Shi-chan,' Yamashita Muzuki, is there. She was my favorite for her calming aura. Then Ito Riria with a voice like Hoshino. Ito is from Okinawa. How many idols hail from there? Ozono is from Kagoshima another far flung place to find an idol. I wonder if the 3rd gens will befriend Ito quickly so that they can go visit with her in Okinawa.

Sato Kaede #13 made it. She had me worried because she always was at the bottom of the rankings.

Umezawa Minami is tall. Saito Chiharu, who was worried that Junna was going to be taller than her, is probably now sad. Umezawa towers over them all! Nakamura Reno isn't too far behind and she's only 14. Iwamoto Reika is 12 but I can't see it. I was so sure she was going to be all moe like the NakoMiku pair but she doesn't come off as such.

It's surprising that management accepted 12 of 13. I'm sure that if #2 didn't drop out then it would've been 13 of 13. I'm liking the new members. I'm hoping as they take their lessons that they grow into idols worthy of the Nogizaka name. I'm certainly going to support them on their journey and can't wait to see them popping up on NogiChu, NogiBingo, and the lives.

Ok. Now it's done. We've got a 3rd gen. Where to next?

If we go by hiragana Keyaki, then it will be 3-4 months before they start to see some activities. That would put them right around the end of this year into the next. Maybe in 2 months time, the kenkyuusei Nogizaka blog will start up with their posts. When will they get onto NogiChu? Then further down the line -- will one of them be airdropped into senbatsu for the spring single? And finally when will they all get full fledge member status? 2nd gen took about 2 years for them all to be privileged with full member status.

Well I'm hoping that the older members take it upon themselves to close that gap. The older 1st gens knowing full well that they're time is running short should try to build up 3rd gen and even 2nd gen to leave Nogizaka in a good state. Captain Reika won't fail us here. I'm sure she'll make 3rd gen feel at home. I trust Captain though she's ponkotsu.

Whatever missteps taken with 2nd gen, I hope won't be repeated with the 3rd gen. Maybe management learned something. They can always look at how Keyaki-chan is being handled.

the official rival of UG/2ndGen has arrived, i think 12 is a good number, more members to bond with. it's not like they'll immediately get close with their senpai. it will definitely take a long while. so Nogi will be 47 in total, so who's gonna graduate? --- kidding
