Goodness, I had to watch the trailer twice to figure out which girl was Yuko. With those glasses and hairstyle, it's looks like she's entered into the witness protection program so no one would recognize her.
She has been posting on Instagram and twitter with this hairstyle for a couple of weeks. Here is one: https://www.instagram.com/p/BNy8YHfj4e4/
Yuko is playing the role Koyuki (Rinko's friend) in her new drama, who wears glasses and has her hairstyle like the one that sscrla posted. It's pretty easy to spot Yuko in that trailer Thanks for the trailer . January can't come soon enough
Even though I'm not a fan of The Walking Dead (I've only seen the first two episodes of Season 1), it's still cool how she got to meet the cast, especially Steven Yeun. Source: Instagram
one of the cast got a bit cozy with her (from yuko's twitter) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C1AXhIyUcAADz-O.jpg
GLENN and ABRAHAM! Still so awesome to see that Yuko is a Walking Dead fan. Attaboy Eugene (Josh McDermitt what that guy's name is) .
Hi, guys. Anyone knows if Yuko is in New York right now? I was watching the new year's eve celebrations and I saw a girl that looked exactly like her in the audience. I kept watching but so far I couldn't find her again.
I know I shouldn't trust google translate, but there are several stories about the show on 1/3. Sasshi is telling a story about Yuko on NHK Kouhaku some years back. From what I understand, they were all deciding to jump right at midnight, but Yuko didn't want to jump, she wanted to stick her butt out. http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20170103-00000139-sph-ent http://netallica.yahoo.co.jp/news/20170103-69347582-dwango Update: @fatrain posted a link to the show with Sasshi and Yuko (KonKura) [Warning: the site tells me I need to install the newest FlashPlayer, which I have, and then tells me I have an infection and need to be scanned. As a result of my caution with viruses, I killed the site and couldn't watch the video. Maybe it will work on a different device.] http://stage48.net/forum/index.php?threads/sashihara-rino-sasshi.1108/page-776#post-1267307
Playing baseball in her new show. https://www.instagram.com/p/BOzCfz3Bg52/ http://www.ntv.co.jp/tarareba/ Update: an article that suggest that she may never become a star, with the results of a survey about her future, although another interpretation is that she is not living up to her potential. It would be nice to be able to read and understand Japanese. http://netallica.yahoo.co.jp/news/20170104-99411413-sirabee P.S. In her twitter she has a picture with a horse with curly black hair. I think she chose it because they match. https://twitter.com/Oshima__Yuko/status/816253295794614272
Haha, there are many AKB and ex AKB member that are Walking Dead fan, like Kitarie, Umeda Ayaka and so on. There is one varierty episode which show some members the first episode of Walking dead. Yuko wants to become great actress, so she must go and see more people, and I am glad that she did it. Yuko started too late I think ( graduated when 26 years old) and the shadow of AKB ace affects her a lot. She doesnt have chance to appear in breaking movie or in forgrein film, so her success rate is low.
You have to remember that she was still acting in dramas and movies while in AKB48, so I don't think it was too late for her. Sure, she should've graduated earlier, but her acting career wasn't getting anywhere before she joined AKB48 and at least she tried to resurrect it while being in the group. I can only hope that she'll find that one drama or movie role that advances her career, even if she's competing with other actresses.
I know, but it's not enough. People see her as an ex idol, so give her a hard job is very unlikely. I also hope that she will get a breaking job, so that people can look at her as an actress. Until now, it's her acting in Pale Moon get appreciated.
I still think the absolute best thing that any of the girls can do while in AKB is to become fluent in English. If they want to follow in Yuko's or Maeda's footsteps and become serious actresses, being able to speak in English is crucial. It improves their chances to get acting roles tenfold. It's odd that none of the girls, as far as I know, have chosen that tact. Mayuyu has ''an in'' in Hollywood because of Crow's Blood, but I couldn't tell you if she is trying to learn conversational English. It must be difficult to become fluent in a foreign language when you're as busy as these girls seem to be. Appearing in American movies would help rid the girls of that ''ex-idol'' label, as well.
Yup, I think you are right. You cant just stay in Japan and hope for it. Rinko Kikuchi appeared in Babel and it took her to many chances.
