Thanks for the tips, though I already figured out the fight in the corner strat. Simple really, just minimizing the amount of exposure to the enemy.

Well... actually, this is a failed try. But I got the gist of it. This 'staircase' strategy actually works very well- because of the AI pathing, all of the dogs can't gang up on me right away, as the moment the dog reaches in attacking range of my tankers, they stop moving and instantly attack. This creates the 'space'- see those open spaces besides Yuria and Magic- that the dogs don't enter right away (until your formation breaks when one of your tankers die :( )

Well, this run failed, tho- but I was just testing things out anyway. And I definitely don't think I can beat the 12 dogs yet- though I will. How do you get handguns? If it's past the dogs, I won't be able to use the handgun against them, will I?

You can't get handguns against these groups of 12 dogs yet.

This "staircase strategy" of yours might actually work if you replaced Kusogaki and Dodobusu with healers (KY and Kenpou). I would also move your dodge specialist, Yoga, to a tougher position - now she is tanking only one dog while Magic is tanking three.

Did you remember to assign that knife you found behind Li?

Ah, that extra knife. Good point. I probably should get Megahon to hold it.

I had Yuria in that position because I was playing aggressively- though I soon found that I probably should have been playing defensively instead. Having Yuria/Magic attack once and then defend (to tank the big number of attackers they're up against) is definitely a good idea, especially when you can turn the dogs around for your lousier characters to land a good Bleeding attack.

I killed everything and did all the quests to get 3 weapons (30k x3) So I have 4 after Li. I might be able to afford one more, but I bought healing items too. Anyway, even now, I have 50k already- I'll probably be able to afford 100k gun after I kill the dogs.

When my characters lebel up, I choose bonus upgrade like this.
    AP>Dodge>Attack>Defense>HP (as Melee)
HP/Defense are useless to survive, because strong enemies have critical hits or weapons enough to beat your characters by one or two hits.
High APs are good not only for offense, but also for defense. You can attack-step back or attack-defense in one turn.

Go tell otabe and then back get at these options at expect that 16 dogs and check where can't last time can't... Then heal and get ready gunfire... I don't wanna spoil but not heal. Talking these who help girls... And player can heal free ...
And even buy gun... And... Well ask ...

I tested to fight 12 dogs in the old factory sewers with 7 melees. I was using that "staircase strategy". The battle started well, but in the end I was defeated and 5 dogs were still up. So, I would say, that 7 melees don't play well against dogs.

However, I was able to beat those groups, that are guarding dog food with 7 melees.

That Salt vs that man? Hit & run... or move one where man dont look, attack there ONCE then out man move, face to man... THEN end turn... ( this enough take off him SWORD hit out!! )
(I know, Salt can bodge SOME sword/katana hits... not all, ( And at like Knifes... it mak bleeding... ) One hit take about half or little more hp... ) One test Salt bodge 4 TIMES at get even any hit... But, it not wise play that like roulette.

^ Yeah, MOVE - ATTACK - MOVE is a good strategy. SPECIAL ATTACK - MOVE does more damage, but has a bit lower chance to hit the opponent.

    So, sup guys.

    Took on the dogs yesterday.

    Success.

I still didn't use ranged, but I did have to replace KSGK with Jiseidai, though. Needed the heals with Party Protects and Super Party Protects. So regretting not getting MegaHon to level up and get heal first.

But still managed to do it.

Magic takes the lowest corner, which is the 2nd most dangerous position. This gives her the most time for dogs to reach her, so she can set up Party Protect too. It's good that I can use Spin Kick/Tricky Kick and then Defend right after.

Megahon, with knife, takes the middle step. she only gets 1 dog to fight, and with knife (if it hits) she 2HKOs a dog. Unfortunately she can't defend after using knife, and her accuracy against dogs headon isn't too good, so she's normally the first tanker to die.

Topmost, taking JeiJei's advice, I had Yoga tank with her great dodging. Her attack is subpar, and not enough AP to use distracted skills and defend, but it's workable, especially since she's paired with an extra person beside her.

And this extra person, I used Kamisori, but Zombie will do anyway with weapon equipped. Her job is to inflict damage while staying alive. Her two bleeding nails attack come in handy, and she gets to defend after that- and even if she falls, I can get have Zombie to replace her spot in the formation right away, and Zombie revives if you're lucky.

The other girls in the behind the tankers are mostly just backup to fill the spots if the formation falls. True, Ranged attackers/healers would definitely be much better, but... it's me. I'll take the challenge and ravish it.

I skipped the last dog fight tho (was running low on items by then) but I'm still going to take the challenge by taking on the 16 dog fight- once my girls are levelled up, and maybe I have a gun. Booyah.

Nice! Obviously your melee strategies are better than mine then. :D Well, that's how it should be - I make the rules and the players make the strategies.

Once you leave the factory, you can come back anytime. Lots of '?'s there (inside and outside) you couldn't get first time there. And yeah, it is highly recommended to beat that optional group of 16 dogs at some point. ;)

By the way, those Party Protect skills are bugged. I have fixed them weeks ago, but because that wasn't a fatal bug, there was no point to release a new version of part 3 just because of this fix.

Hmm... not really know how do these part 3´s Gekiko/Yab without long range...
Only gun isnt enough ... But Gekiko first...
Edit: Hmm... Gekiko these aren´t gun if i remeber right, but other places yes. ( But these weapons guys) ...

I'm releasing MG5TheGame (full game) in one week.

Here is a little sneak peek of the final part:

Oh, and there will be two endings in the game: a good ending and, well, a not-so-good ending. :)

    @JeijeiFin

You mean the ending we all wished had happened, and the ending that really happened? *cough* :v

So, anyway, I just completed Part 3.

I got into the Nezumi hideout and found the weapons store- and I know all the hype is about the guns, but HOLY MOLY SPECIAL SWORD.

Oh, come on. Sword>Gun, right? Right? Right? ....

So disregarding everything, I sold everything I had, saved up, grinded and bought the Special Sword.

I tried passing Excalibur- er, Special sword- around to see who would best wield it. I could give it to KSGK to make her useful for once, but she always gets OHKO these days anyway. I want the other girls for the skills they've been using, too.

In the end I just threw it to Zombie, so that she'ld have a good attacking weapon whenever she's not using Hold. And she has that revive chance too, so more chances to use it even if she gets unlucky-killed.

I went to take on 16 dogs next.

Yeah, no problem, with my staircase strat. Even better with Megahon healing in the back now.

I'm still exploiting Jiseidai's Party protects to break the HP bar- sorry, JeiJeiFin- Yoga top, Magic bottom, Zombie and Kamisori in the mid. Kamisori's probably the most dangerous because she isn't as strong as the others, so Megahon stays around her a lot to keep her healed. As for Zombie.... with special sword, it's like the dogs are running into a meat grinder.

Keep that imagery in your mind, folks.

I got the extra Sword which I just got KSGK or Dodobusu to hold onto. Wanted to sell it off to buy a gun, but still not enough money :(

Had a little trouble with Ryutou's peeps, but with some careful planning it worked out in the end. Basically got Dodobusu and Zombie to double around to the back and spam hold if they can, and slash them if they can't.

^ Handgun's weapon power is 150 and Special Handgun's 250. Sword Attack has bonus 'Attack +100' for Sword and 'Attack +200' for Special Sword. So, if character's Attack is about 50 (like Yoga unbuffed or Zombie with Katsuzetsu's Super Party Boost), Sword = Handgun and Special Sword = Special Handgun. However, characters with a melee weapon need to move next to the target before they can attack, while characters with a gun can stay back and shoot anywhere they want from there. That's why guns are more expensive than swords.

And yeah, it might be a good idea to go for a Handgun next, if you have only melees in your party atm (and you don't want to use Candy or KY). I wouldn't sell your regular Sword though, because it's very useful as well. For example, Yoga's special attacks have no attack bonus (they are just undodgeable), so any melee weapon is good for her.

In order to complete a task in part 4 you need to win several enemy groups in the area. However, you don't need to complete the task in the first round. You can just go in and try to beat as many groups as you can. If you are defeated, you can retreat back to the hideout for heals and leveling up your characters. Possibly you can buy new weapons as well. When you go back to the task area, the enemy groups have recovered/respawned, but your party has become stronger.

And of course Hoodies Mercenary will always be available in the current task area.
