Before joining AKB48 she was a child actress in musicals. She debuted in 2003, and was part of the all-female musical theater group "Tokyo Little Mets".
She worked under the company Sense Up from approximately 2010 to 2012. She then worked under the company Fino from 2012 to 2020. While under Fino she used the name Hayano Kaori (早乃香織).
- After leaving Fino she began to use her birth name "Hayano Kaoru" again.
She is a licensed yoga instructor (Yoga Alliance RYT200) and demonstrates yoga on her YoutTube channel.
